We read this is school, and had a lively discussion on what came out of the door our hero chose. There is a lot to unpack in this short story, and I still have really good memories of the discussion. BarkLessWagMore had this book listed as one she found most disturbing. When I saw that it was a short story and was available for free on line, I had to see what the scoop was. I found it at google ebooks and finished it moments ago.

I started listening to this on Overdrive - an app available for your iPhone (and likely your Android, I don't know for sure). A friend recommended the app, and I am loving it thus far. I am listening to this through the blue tooth connection in my car - nice.

Overall a good collection of the comics. The last one "The Dust Waltz" I had read, the others, not so much. I liked seeing Kendra again, and I do love Dru and Spike (though the art in those stories left something to be desired -- a little bit too much Creepshow and not enough Buffy)

I liked the first collection better, as it had some of the origin type tales, but still, it was Buffy, and I really do miss seeing the show.

Another winner by Carl Hiaasen. His characters are so bizarre and so richly developed, I love them. Augustine and 'the captain' would be my favorite in this story. I loved that our bad guys got what was coming to them, and our heroes had a sort of win at least. Very enjoyable fun read!
