It was a total 180 from what I have read from these two authors. But it was absolutely a great read. Full of funny moments and internal dialogues. I really do think this story would have been better is it just a MM story. The chemistry of Theo and Carter was palpable but the chemistry with June was just meh. It felt force and an afterthought, she being there. I don't think she deserve it. She had the potential to be a great character, All of them as trio had the potential but the author just felt short and it's a shame that the editor and alfa and beta readers didn't point that out.

Nonetheless it was a good story it just wasn't the best it could be....

Even though I loved book one, I loved these two characters together, but two didn't make me feel the same way about them, they fekt like completely different characters. And don't get me wrong I like the book it just wasn't what I expected after reading book 1. Yes the hotness is there, and in this book the scenes are scorching but one particular scene even though was hot it left a bitter taste. I just didn’t find it had a place in this book or with these characters, it felt like it was put there just to make the plot more "interesting" and I don't mean any disrespect to anyone but objectifying a people that way wasn't for me.

Still, I will patiently wait for book 3, maybe then Emerson and Daphne came back to who they were on the first book and we all get our happily ever after.

Of the 3 books of this trilogy this has been the best one. It was a little more fast pace so the storyline wasn't so drag on. I finally got to feel a real connection between Winston and Ash, before I just feel that they were attracted to each other and in lust but this book really showed the love between them and I like that a lot.

As I said before I wasn't a fan of their kink so I was glad to see a love and sweetness in between the sheets.

We are just seeing them in a different light and this is great I cannot lie about that because my impression of Leo was very different, borderline in unredeemable. But getting to know him better, know his back story stole my heart. But the BIG BUT in the book in this universe and this is not the first time I talk about this is that time lines intersect and sometimes the information about characters is incorrect. For example we know about Cash, Haley brother in another book and the way they portrait the family is nowhere near what we get here although he was a few year younger, maybe like 3 and the mother was alive and what we can read between the lines it seems like the Haley mother died many many years ago.

Nonetheless I love the story, love how the author got the retelling of Beauty and The Best, she did such a great job

Even though we see another side of the Leo he never lost his cold demeanor and ruthless behavior, he truly is an anti-hero. Haley was super likeable even though I have to say she has a hero complex but she does it because she really comes as a to have a very caring personality.

And of course, I cannot leave the naughty parts!! OMG, they were HAWT. Leo is such a dominant character and Haley complement him as a good submissive to his dominance. The library scene has to be one of the most nautghy and non conventional romantic scene I have read in a while.

For example we know about Cash, Haley brother in another book and the way they portrait the family is nowhere near what we get here although he was a few year younger, maybe like 3 and the mother was alive and what we can read between the lines it seems like the Haley mother died many many years ago.

Nonetheless I love the story, love how the author got the retelling of Beauty and The Best, she did such a great job

Leo and Haley were explosive match, the chemistry was palpable since the beginning. Even though we see another side of the Leo he never lost his cold demeanor and ruthless behavior, he truly is an anti-hero. Haley was super likeable even though I have to say she has a hero complex but she does it because she really comes as a to have a very caring personality.

And of course, I cannot leave the naughty parts!! OMG, they were HAWT. Leo is such a dominant character and Haley complement him as a good submissive to his dominance. The library scene has to be one of the most nautghy and non conventional romantic scene I have read in a while.

I have never read a story where the older one was the woman, so I therefore I was a bit skeptical going forward but my god this book exceeded my expectations.

The connections between those two was palpable, it was easy to believe and see them as if they were a real couple in our world. The realness of it was superb, it was made even better when you get to see/read other characters from previous books.

It was the final chapters who made this a 4 stars. I was so mad a Lucian for all the things he had/did in this book!! I was ready to throw my kindle, but it all when right at the end and I love it!!! Cant wait to see what happens next.

Overall, I love this trilogy well written and a page turner but I didn't quite love this book as much as I love the previous ones.
