I've really missed Sophie Lark's writing. It's clever. It's fun. It's very fast paced. One thing you will never be in Sophie Lark's books is boring.

I liked both Callum and Aida and I enjoyed them together. I especially loved Aida, she was strong and so much fun. The two best qualities.

I read Sophie Lark's Kingmaker series back in 2022 I think and it was one of the highlights of my reading year. Add that to the fact I own this series in paperback I really wanted to finally read it.

I've really missed Sophie Lark's writing. It's clever. It's fun. It's very fast paced. One thing you will never be in Sophie Lark's books is boring.

I read the first 3 books of this series last year but didn't get around to this one because I really disliked Lan. But I've seen people rave about Bran and Nikolai's book so obviously I wanted to read that.

I love this book. It's a perfect mix between mafia and also a little sweet.

This is one of those rare books where I love both heroine and hero so much. Gavan was such a dirty talker and once he fell in love he really shined bright.

I really loved the side characters especially on Gavan's side. Both Korol and Drazen were amazing, I hope they get books of their own.

The whole world Jagger created with the bratva was really awesome. I don't doubt it is probably very close to the real thing.

This is one of those rare books where I love both heroine and hero so much. Gavan was such a dirty talker and once he fell in love he really shined bright.

I really loved the side characters especially on Gavan's side. Both Korol and Drazen were amazing, I hope they get books of their own.

The whole world Jagger created with the bratva was really awesome. I don't doubt it is probably very close to the real thing.

This was my first Jagger Cole book but it will not be my last.

OMG THAT ENDING. PERFECTION!!!!!!! I've been so nervous about finishing this cause I was worried the ending wouldn't be as brilliant as the rest of the book. Turns out I didn't have to worry, it was nothing like I thought it would be and a 1000 times better than anything I could have imagined.

But I guess the fact that I was able to stop and literally go months before picking it up again, not because I really wanted to but because I'm trying to finish my abandoned books (it's a long list) I can't let that fact go unanswered.

So 4 star it is. I stand by that, I think. I might change it later. It's 4 or 5, I'm sticking with 4. Especially since I have read books that kept my (hard to keep) concentration to the very last page, I know what I'm looking for before I'll give out 5 stars. And this book came so close, only to come up short.

This book is part of a larger problem of mine. Once I make it far enough into a book to guess with "almost" certainty what's gonna happen it becomes hard for me to finish it. Like those last 60 - 80 + % are hard for me to get through. This means about 90 percent of the books I read are abandoned.
