What was in this book? Was it crack? I am hooked and now jonesing for the second. I honest to god wouldn’t change anything, alright maybe two things. But I was storytelling the entire book. Action adventure romance and the level of smut was so good!

I really enjoyed this book enough for four stars.

I really enjoyed this book enough for four stars.

I’ve seen so many people say they skipped any chapter that wasn’t Ravyn or Elspeth and I can just tell them they missed out on a really good storyline. I actually found myself more involved with Ione and Elm this book. I didn’t have a single part that I wanted to skim or get through. I absorbed this story and the world building was just enough.

Highly recommend!

Now that the series is over I can officially confirm Conor and Harlow were the best book by far. And I loved getting glimpses of them in each follow up and I LOVED that the epilogue was them bc it stared and ended with them.

I did enjoy Eve and Hunter a lot, I think even more than Aidan and Rylan.

I guess storyline wise from the first one it made sense, but there was not a lot of focus on Isaiah other than the few times they’d mention what a good worker he was and him living in the apartment. That is until they went to rescue Bryce and V.

The second he tore off to find her I knew she would be his leading lady and I was so curious about how Devney was going to play it.

The “married� for sake of testimony was classic! It actually reminded me of Carly and Sonny from General Hospital and they were my favorite couple for a few years!

I enjoyed that she didn’t make them know how to navigate their situation. Both of them were nervous all the time, walking on eggshells, trying not to let the other know they existed in the small living space. Yet every forced kiss was basically miscommunication: she thought he hated it, he was trying not to devour her mouth. Loved it.

I was reading and reading and wondering like WHEN IS THE TENSION GOING TO IMPLODE! And then it did, and boy was it amazing!

The drama was low key, I was happy to get to the bottom of the case from the first book and close those chapter so to say. I expected right away why he had gone to jail and who Shannon was so I was happy that came out too. I did also find out that Kaine has his own book which I will be reading as well.

He got soft at the end, but honestly I didn’t even mind because babies make men show their best version of themselves.

I wished it wasn’t so much miscommunication but I get the need for the drama to have them get back together.

Variation has honestly taken a slot of one of my favorite reads for the year. Hudson and Allie and their story was so well written. The very subtle hints at verbal and mental abuse from her mom towards her and her sisters was so well done. You could feel how badly they wanted to make her proud and what toll it eventually took on all of them.

Hudson putting his dreams on hold for his family and then finally being able to have it all and Allie had me smiling so wide at the end!

Just what I needed! Loved this one, very quick enjoyable read. The enemies to lovers was giving chefs kiss! I loved the tension, the attraction was double sided and the “one night only� si well done! I loved this One, truly. She gave us so many Easter eggs to little mermaid and I was eating them up! The storyline was different and kept me interested, you could feel the desperation between them and you wanted them to just give in!

But. And I say this painfully.

She lost me right at the end. I was turning page after page so fast I felt like I couldn’t get there quick enough. Then they got caught and the story just felt very rushed.

One minute their entire worlds are crashing down and then it’s just fine. Then it’s crashing again, and then it’s fine. Idk I just felt like I wanted the fall out to be longer and for them to not immediately have a cushy happily ever after.


Aria was massively annoying, I was not a fan of the overuse of “Momma�, I felt like it was insta-love and I understand why but it’s still a turn off. Poor unfortunate souls!

I loved this One, truly. She gave us so many Easter eggs to little mermaid and I was eating them up! The storyline was different and kept me interested, you could feel the desperation between them and you wanted them to just give in!

But. And I say this painfully.

She lost me right at the end. I was turning page after page so fast I felt like I couldn’t get there quick enough. Then they got caught and the story just felt very rushed.

One minute their entire worlds are crashing down and then it’s just fine. Then it’s crashing again, and then it’s fine. Idk I just felt like I wanted the fall out to be longer and for them to not immediately have a cushy happily ever after.


Aria was massively annoying, I was not a fan of the overuse of “Momma�, I felt like it was insta-love and I understand why but it’s still a turn off. Very surprised given how excited I was for this couple to struggle to get through it. I loved the outcome and the tension and build up, but I felt like I flew through the other two books pretty quickly and it took longer to finish this one!

I love that although there isn’t this big plot line I was never bored and just wanted to keep reading about the other characters too! I’m hoping for a Harper and adrian book, a Julius and I want to say Charlie book and even a Gage book!
