Прочитавши вголос �200 сторінок тексту, я переконався—ц� хороша книжка. Для мене це так через добір персонажів, особливо коли йдеться людей і людське. В дитячій книжці дорослі п'ють пиво, ходять на похорони і по клубах. Є навіть слово «самогубці» (на яке ніхто не звернув уваги). Моральне послання подається суто через вчинки, без усякої лектури.
Це не гучна/важлива/очікувана книжка. Це просто кумедна книжка для читання дітьми чи з дітьми. Я дізнався про неї від перекладача, а потім ми побачили книжку в книгарні. Третя частина � настільки щільна чарівна казка, що на детективні елементи мені не вистачило уваги. Тобто, десь на другій третині я щось пригадав про мишу із фільму, а потім збагнув, що якби не знаття, то я б до самого кінця не здогадувався б ні про що, крім, звісно, наскрізно анонсованої зустрічі Гаррі з Сіріусом Блеком. Хоча натяки на потібні здогади розкладено де треба, і книжку можна читати як детектив-головоламку (в певному віці), все підкорює атмосфера. Тут, здається, більше чарівних реалій, ніж у двох попередніх книжках: істоти, технології, артефакти� Книжка наповнена дією і численними перевтіленнями (це ключова тема «В'язня Азкабану»). Якщо ти дивишся на Грегора Замзу � то він зовсім не той, ким здається.
Мене попереджали, що буде важко відірватися, і якщо перші дві третини я ще пручався, читаючи похапцем у дорозі, то протягом останньої не помітив, як дочитався до третьої ночі.
Як і в попередніх випусках, хоч добро торжествує, зло лишається непокараним.

Це кров/магічні здібності � є «бруднокровці», чарівники з родин маґлів, і сквиби, народжені в родинах чарівників люди без відповідних властивостей. Це також і залежність/свобода у паралельній історії з ельфом Добі.
Герміона � наша людина. Рон описує її стиль так: «коли сумніваєшся � біжи в бібліотеку».
Натомість Гаррі Поттер, якого тягне «тільки до одного � до квіддичу», як завжди, виявляє (несподівано) нові унікальні здібності і отримує в користування необхідні ґаджети.
Не знаю, як на цьому етапі уявляла собі майбутнє персонажів пані Ролінґ, але з позиції людини, що трохи знає сюжет наперед (насправді, мені зручно читати, бо більшість деталей я вже забув), майбутні романтичні лінії виглядають досить прозорими.

Загалом цікаво буде пройтися по Вікіпедії та форумах типу stakexchange, але вже після завершення епопеї. Бо, може, десь далі (або в hpmor) трохи більше розкажуть про Волдеморта. Власне, в цій частині мене зацікавила його душа. Попри те, що його називають не зовсім живим (відтак він не може бути й зовсім мертвим), у нього є душа, яку можна наповнювати, ділити, переливати. Колись давно, коли я працював у книгарні, я читав цю книжку кілька разів з великим задоволенням. Навіть нарадив обговорення в нашому тодішньому читацькому клубі � щоправда, я вже забув, що ж ми тоді обговорювали.

І ось, коли минуло � що, 10 років? � я знову перечитав цей роман.

Роман, у якому весь час щось відбувається, але немає ані конфлікту, ані трансформації героя, а сюжетні закрути компенсуються просторовими.

Дуже дивна книга.

Мені уводини до світу та описи магів сподобались більше, ніж екшен навколо видобування філософського каменю. Ще у книжці нерівномірний плин часу. Іноді на день іде по два розділи, а цілий семестр навчання можна умістити в абзац. Зокрема, із цього виникає враження, до Гаррі (й іншим учням) все дається без зусиль. Мабуть, тому його життя в маґлівському світі таке жахливе.
Характерно, що Дамблдор описаний як� ну майже як Джон Леннон. Це явний олдовий хіпан. І всі маги після цього здаються� ну та вони і є субкультурою.
Одне порівняння не йде мені з голови: це ноги Геґріда, схожі на дельфінів. Навіть якщо малися на увазі чоботи. Чесно кажучи, мені ще ніколи ніщо не здавалося схожим на дельфіна.
Що стосується родини Дурслі, то я не можу зрозуміти, як такий дебілкуватий жиробас, як Дадлі, може бути ватажком шкільної зграї?
