لكنه لن يلبث أن يكتشف أن المدينة تحتاج موادَّ أقوى، وألواناً أخرى، فلا وجود لمدينةٍ بريئةٍ إلى هذه الدرجة.

وُلِد محمّد حنيف في أوكارا، باكستان عام 1964، وتخرّج في أكاديميّة سلاح الجوّ الباكستانيّ كضابط طيّار، لكنّه ما لبث أن استقال كي يتفرّغ للكتابة.

«وفيما أكتبُ، تزدحم هذه القصيدة أكثر فأكثر
بناس لا أعرفهم، قراء لم ألتقِ بهم قط، بقرائي الأوروبيين،
الصينيين، الأرجنتينيين، العرب...»
ويروق لي التفكير بأن «فرانك» قد أعلن عن وصوله إلى أرض القاهرة، إحدى عواصم الثقافة في العالم العربي، بتلك الأبيات المكتوبة منذ ما يقرب من عشرة أعوام.
وعلى الرغم من أن واقعية قصائد «فرانك بايس» والشفافية التي تتسم بها تشدّان كتاباته إلى الحاضر وإلى الأجواء المألوفة، فقصائده لا تكف عن كونها خفيفةً، طافيةً.

بنثرياته، يلطِّخ «فرانك بايس»، ويصقل ويسوِّي، بقدمين راسختين على الأرض: مُطلقًا أبياته في مدار حيث تتخللها الرياح، تنعشها وتنثرها في أرجاء القارات، تلك الرياح التي تهب في «شيكاغو»، وتحمل شَعر الرأس «كما تذرو الأوراق المتساقطة عن الأشجار».

هكذا تسافر القصائد، متجاوزة الجمارك والحدود في المقام الأول. ولأن الأدب الجيد يشقُّ طريقًا لنفسه، ويصل إلى من ينتظره من القراء، هكذا نجد كتب «جابرييل جارثيا ماركيز» باللغة العربية فوق أرصفة وسط البلد بالقاهرة. فضلًا عن طبعات شعبية من أعمال «بورخيس» و«ساراماجو» و«بارجاس يوسا» المترجمة. وتُضاف إلى هذا الاهتمام الوثيق، الذي ينصبُّ على الكلاسيكيات الحديثة للآداب الإسبانية والبرتغالية، مبادرات أُطلقت في الفترة الأخيرة ترمي إلى تقديم بانوراما أكثر عصريةً وتنوعًا لآداب أمريكا اللاتينية في مصر.

وقد مهدت الطريق دور نشر مستقلة، صغيرة ومتوسطة على حد سواء، يدًا بيد مع مترجمين يتميزون بالفضول والقدرة على التأقلم في يسر شأن مارك جمال. وتجدر الإشارة إلى أن غالبية تلك المشروعات قد تحققت من خلال برامج داعمة للترجمة تتبناها دول من أمريكا اللاتينية مثل كولومبيا والأرجنتين، أو بفضل التشجيع المثابر للبعثات الدبلوماسية بالقاهرة. أما فيما يتصل بـ«20 بطاقة بريدية» لـ«فرانك بايس»، فهو نتاج التعاون المثمر بين دار صفصافة للنشر وسفارة جمهورية الدومينيكان بمصر.

وفضلًا عن التيمات الكونية كالحب أو مضي الزمن أو الإلهام، فضلًا عن الأصداء أو الاقتباسات المأخوذة عن كبار الأدباء العالميين كـ«بولانيو» أو «پيسوا» أو «كيبيدو» على سبيل المثال، يرجح أن يجد القارئ المصري في قصائد «فرانك بايس» طُرقًا تؤدي بالقارئ إلى بيته من حيث لا يحتسب: إلى بزوغ نجم ما يعرف باسم جيل التسعينيات في مصر والطفرة التي مثّلها. فكلُّ من اللغة اليسيرة، تدفُّق الحياة اليومية، السخرية، الدعابة وتَصَوُّر الشاعر باعتباره شخصًا بمنأى عن أيِّ شكل من أشكال البطولة، يمدّ جسورًا بين كونين على غاية من التباين فيما يظهر، شأن الكاريبي والشرق الأوسط.

وقبيل الختام، أود الإشارة إلى الحضور الخافي لإيمان مرسال بين ثنايا «20 بطاقة بريدية»، وهي الشاعرة التي تعرف إليها القارئ خلال التسعينيات المصرية سالفة الذكر. إذ التقى «فرانك بايس» بإيمان مرسال في مهرجان الشعر المقام في «جرانادا» بنيكاراجوا عام 2013. وفي كتاب له عن المهرجان بعنوان «لا أحد ينام في جرانادا»، يرسم «فرانك بايس» إيمان مرسال وسط شخوص أرِقة مبتهجة في طريقهم من بحيرة «نيكاراجوا» إلى بركان «مومباتشو». يجلس «فرانك» مع إيمان بمنأى عن صخب المهرجان لمراجعة ترجمة بعض من قصائدها إلى الإسبانية بغرض نشرها في إسبانيا. ومنذ بضعة أشهر، تحمست رفيقة «لا أحد ينام في جرانادا» لمشروع «20 بطاقة بريدية»، وقبلت بسخاء أن تقرأ ترجمة مارك جمال في حديث صاحَب نقل قصائد «فرانك بايس» إلى العربية، كانت من ثماره مقترحات تتسم بالدقّة.

وإذا كان الشرق عند «فلوبير» يبدأ في القاهرة، فالقاهرة عند «فرانك بايس» قد بدأت في نيكاراجوا، وفي قصيدته «في دامِن»، حيث استشرف حديثًا - يبدأ أخيرًا - يجمع بينه وبين قرائه العرب.

في هذا النص الآسر، يعيد الكاتب الفرنسيّ، كريستيان بوبان، كلّ المعاني إلى أصلها: الموتُ ليس سوى لحظة عبور آفلة تعقبها الحياة، الحبُّ ليس سوى حاضر مستقرّ في الماضي، الوجيعة ليست سوى الوجه الآخر للفرح، الأنثى الحبيبة والرفيقة ليست سوى الأمّ بكلّ حضورها وتناقضاتها. ولقد شكّل هذا المتنُ الرّائع، على قصره، منعطفا هامّا وجوهريّا في أدب كريستيان بوبان، فرغم حضور موت الحبيبة والرّفيقة المكثّف فيه، إلاّ أنّه، في عمقه، مديحٌ بالغ الرّفاهية للحياة وتفاصيلها، وكأننا بالكاتب يذكّرنا بأهميّة تدوين تفاصيلنا الصغيرة، قبل الكبيرة، مع المحبوب، بل وكأنّهُ يدعونا إلى أن نتحدّث عن موت من نحبّ، كما نتحدّث عن ترنّم العنادل في أفنانها، وتمايل رؤوس الأشجار في أمسيات الرّبيع، ومقالب الأطفال حين يرغبون في مشاكسةِ ذويهم.على أننا ننبّهُ إلى مسألة جوهريّة بخصوص هذا الكتاب: من يبحثُ عن أجوبةٍ حول الحياة والموت، فلن يعثر على ضالّته ههنا، فكريستيان بوبان، بلغته الآسرة، وشعريّته المتدفّقة العالية، يحدّدُ لنا معالم الطريق، ويدعونا إلى التوغّل فيها، لكي نكون على صورة "غيزلان" حبيبتهُ، امرأة ذاقت الموت بيد أنّها ظلّت ...على قيد الحياة!

يختار فلايانو رواية حادثة، لا تستحقُّ الزَّهْوَ، ولا يجوز الفخر بها، مُسنِداً مهمَّة القَصِّ إلى صوت «أنا، ضمير المتكلِّم». إنَّها حادثة أبعد ما تكون عن البطولة، تنطلق من وَجَعٍ عاديٍّ يصيب ضِرْسَ ملازمٍ في الجيش الإيطالي، يدفعه للبحث عن طبيب ويبتعد عن معسكره في إفريقيا السريالية. ومن خطأ في السير في طريق مختصرة، يضيع لتبدأ مغامرته بالصدفة. يقتنع أولاً بأن عدوى الجذام انتقلت إليه، فيهرب، ثم تتلبّسه فكرة أنه مطلوب بتهمة القتل، وفي النهاية يتحول فعلاً إلى لص وإرهابي. حتى يصل إلى كوخ يوهانس، وهو مكان غامض لكن ربَّما يُمكِّنه من الشفاء.

رواية شديدة الرمزية عن الحروب، تتكاشف مع القسوة الساخرة التي لا ترحم، يختمها فلايانو بصوت البوق العسكري، وحيد النغمة التي تليق ببطل هذه الرواية، تلك النغمة الرتيبة التي تستعجل الجنود بالاستيقاظ، وتدعوهم إلى الاستعداد للعودة إلى إيطاليا، لكنَّها أيضاً نغمة تروي التجارب المخفقة والجرائم المقترفة التي لوَّثت يَدَي هذا الضابط الإيطالي، أو التاريخ الاستعماري الإيطالي كله؟
