في صغره كان قارئ واتعلم يجمع بين القراءة النظرية والواقع العملي الي كوّن جواه فكر ورأي قوي .. من كلامه: "حين تضع الحياة سؤالا امام القارئ, ستعرف ذاكرته كيف تجلب الاجزاء المطلوبة للإجابة, وتقدمها للعقل حتى يختبرها .... وهكذا وجتني اخيرا قادرا على الربط بين النظرية والواقع .. ونجوت بهذه الطريقة من الكبت الذي تخلقه النظرية لمن لا يعرف سواها .."

ولِد «بيدرو مايرال» في بوينوس آيريس عام 1970. نشر ديوانه الشعري الأول عام 1996، وصدرت روايته الأولى: «ليلة مع سابرينا لوف»، عام 1998، التي حازت جائزة «كلارين» المرموقة، وتحولت إلى فيلم عام 2000. تُرجمت أعماله إلى لغات عديدة، واختير عام 2007 بين كتاب أمريكا اللاتينية الشباب الأشهر ضمن فعالية «بوغوتا 39».

بالنسبة لي ، الرواية مجملها ف الجزء دا

" منذ ان قابلته ، لم اره يرتدي إلا شيئين : بدلة ميكانيكي ملطخة بالألوان للرسم ، او بدلة رمادي للذهاب إلى البريد ولم يرتديها بعد تقاعده.

الرواية تتكلم وتصور الحياة مع بداية اكتشاف النفط والتحولات المتسارعة التي حلت بمدن وقرى الجزيرة العربية بسبب أكتشاف النفط.

أجزاء الرواية
1-التيه: يتناول الجزء الأول بوادر ظهور النفط في الجزيرة العربية من خلال سكانها وتظهر شخصية متعب الهذال الرافضة كتعبير عن الموقف العفوي لأصحاب الأرض مما اجبر السلطة أن تستعمل العنف. يصف هذا الجزء بالتفصيل بناء المدن الجديدة (حران كانت النموذج) والتغيرات القاسية والعاصفة على المستوى المكاني وخاصة الإنساني.
2-الأخدود: في الجزء الثاني ينتقل منيف إلى تصوير اهل السلطة والسياسة في الصحراء التي تتحول إلى حقل بترولي. نقطة البداية كانت انتقال الحكم من السلطان خربيط إلى ابنه خزعل الذي يمنح كل التسهيلات إلى الأمريكان لتحقيق مخططاتهم. الشخصية الرئيسية في هذا الجزء هو مستشار السلطان الجديد صبحي المحملجي الملقب بالحكيم وهو من أصل لبناني جاء إلى حران أولا كطبيب ثم ينتقل إلى العاصمة موران بحس مغامر ليرتقي إلى أكبر المناصب ويبسط نفوذه. في هذا الجزء تزداد وتيرة التحولات حدة وسرعة بحيث لا يستطيع أحد أن يتنبأ بما ستؤول اليه الأمور. ينتهي هذا الجزء في لحظة انقلاب فنر على اخيه حين كان خارج موران.
3-تقاسيم الليل والنهار: يعود الجزء الثالث إلى جذور العائلة الحاكمة إلى سنوات التصارع القبائلي التي تتوج خربيط كأهم حاكم في المنطقة في اللحظة التي يقتحم فيها الغرب الصحراء فيجد في تحالفه مع خربيط وسيلة لامتلاك الثروة التي كان يبحث عنها ويستغل السلطان ذلك الظرف للهيمنة على كل ما يمكن أن تطاله يده ويعود هذا الجزء إلى نشأة كل من خزعل وفنر.
4-المنبت: الجزء الرابع هو عبارة عن سيرة خزعل في المنفى حتى وفاته مع رصد للتغييرات الانقلابية التي فرضها فنر ومحاولته أن يحول مسار الصحراء من جديد متخلصا من بقايا سياسات أبيه وأخيه والنفوذ الأامريكي ويبدأ في تأسيس دولة بأجهزة موالية له ذات ملامح قاسية كالصحراء.
5- بادية الظلمات: بعد أن يستقر الأمر بلا منازع لفنر يعود منيف لرصد حالة الناس في ظل هذه المتغيرات حيث لا تبقى العادات هي نفسها ولا حتى الأمكنة ويتغير حتى شكل الانتماء والهوية. في هذا الجزء الأخير يصبح اسم الأرض بالدولة الهديبية ويصبح فنر شخصية أسطورية لكنه ينتهي بالاغتيال من خاصته.

This novel tries to portray realistically, the darker side of colonisation, where a population is ruthlessly exploited in the guise of bringing them civilisation. Brown, a well-oiled cog in such a system prides himself on being ruthlessly efficient in his tyrannical task of keeping the population down, has a change of heart after meeting Gina, a girl he uses as his plaything.
He then slowly embarks on a path of self-emancipation in trying to better the lot of the people under his charge. He is not only up against his own government, the EPA, but also against other forces trying to overthrow him. He also discovers a plot by some external powers trying to invade the planet and is hurled into an epic adventure in a game of survival.

ضمن أجواء غامضة يدور بحث البروفيسور لانغدون أستاذ علم الرموز الدينية في جامعة هارفارد عن سر الرسالة التي تركها جد صوفي خلف لوحة ليوناردو دافنشي "مادونا أوف ذا روكس" والتي كانت حلقة أخرى تضاف إلى سلسلة من الرموز المرتبطة ببعضها البعض، حيث كان جد صوفي سونيير ذا ولع شديد بالجانب الغامض والعبثي لليوناردو دافنشي.

وفي الوقت ذاته كان اهتمام البروفيسور لانغدون وولعه شديداً بالرموز الدينية وبفكها، فكتبه حول الرسومات الدينية وعلم الرموز جعلت منه معارضاً مشهوراً في عالم الفن حتى غدا حضوره قوياً وشهرته واسعة وخاصة بعد تورطه في حادثة في الفاتيكان، تلك الحادثة أخذت أبعاداً إعلانية إلى درجة جعلت أهل الفن مهتمين به إلى أبعد الحدود.

بجد رواية رائعه بكل المقاييس , لغة عربيه فصحي (مترجمة) السيناريو وكمية المعلومات الي فيها عن كل حاجه , انا كنت مندهشة من كمية المعلومات الي فيها ان براون قدر انه يجمع كل دول ويخلي بينهم الروابط وتحسسك ان الرواية حقيقية فعليا :)

وده بيتضمن الطرق الي كانت منظمة الامن بتراقب بيها الشعب وبمعنى اصح انظمة التجسس الي هى فيها الاجهزة الكبيرة والصغيرة الي عشان تراقب بيها شخص
وبيتضمن الوسائل الي استخدمها الشباب ف محاربة النظام وتشويشه ، والتشفير عشان يحافظوا ع رسائلهم ، واستعمال البرمجة عشان يعمول برامج سرية بينهم واستعمال البرامج الاكثر خصوصية ف العالم والي كان عملها منظمات ثورية ضد الانظمة الي بتراقب كل حاجه
وده بيشرح حاجات ف الاحصاء والتفاضل وحاجات ف البرمجة وعلم التشفير ، وبيتكلم عن اجهزة كتيرة للتجسس وبرامج كمبيوتر وكلها حاجات حقيقية مش خيال �

الرسالة الثانية : التكنولوجيا والتشفير والبرمجة
وده بيتضمن الطرق الي كانت منظمة الامن بتراقب بيها الشعب وبمعنى اصح انظمة التجسس الي هى فيها الاجهزة الكبيرة والصغيرة الي عشان تراقب بيها شخص
وبيتضمن الوسائل الي استخدمها الشباب ف محاربة النظام وتشويشه ، والتشفير عشان يحافظوا ع رسائلهم ، واستعمال البرمجة عشان يعمول برامج سرية بينهم واستعمال البرامج الاكثر خصوصية ف العالم والي كان عملها منظمات ثورية ضد الانظمة الي بتراقب كل حاجه

I believe in science and I love philosophy, I love its complication, and this feeling to be high like you can touch the sky, I love its history which is rich in science, but I can’t get this point:
The conduction velocity of neuron=neural adequacy for consciousness, and that it implies consciousness must lag far behind the events or the real world! Everything takes time including consciousness, does it mean it is useless to take any action like we have already taken it?!
I like Aldous Huxley’s point of view, it is like that our senses hide our perception. Like we have a whole new world within us but we can’t see it ‘cause we are busy observing the outside.
I think the only thing that has a definition in this book is that of “illusion�, I wonder if it refers to something else.

However, the book is difficult and require someone has background on neuroscience and philosophy.

The conclusion of the book is:
“All we can say for the moment is that the study of consciousness is nowhere near sufficiently well developed to answer such questions, but at least we can begin to ask them.

It was very tiring and exhausting book, but I enjoyed it.

However, he knows alot and do a little.

It is also a frightening one
"It's been five years and a couple of months since the October event. Outside the barrier, that translates into a little over five hundred million years".
How time could pass with such a high speed, this at some point could be real.
