It was nice to get the back story for haymitch. However this was repetitive for me. Little bit of story then reaping then the games then Capitol taking things from you then a little more story. This was a reread for me. I dont understand the dislike for this book. It's totally a goosebumps book but for adults. When I met R.L. I asked him if he was going to make anymore adult books and he said he was doing more fear street at the time. Definitely recommend if you loved goosebumps as a kid.

Really enjoyed how the chapters, I guess you'd call them, were set up. I like how the people you were reading are connected to the previous person's view you were reading. Enjoyed this short read however that ending was messed up. Twins bring their grandma up to the cabin one last time for memories. Knob island has something strange on it. I've waited 24 yrs to find a book that has both mine and my husband's name in it and I finally found one. And it even mentions a date that is our anniversary. Wild. I loved how the last sentence of a chapter was the beginning sentence for the next chapter for a bit. The story for me didn't have much of a wow factor and was pretty easy to guess the twists. Love this author. I also flew thru this book however the trope of who the criminal was just got to me. This book was a 4.5 star until I got near the end and i just couldn't do it. This is the second book I've read in a month with this trope and it grinds my gears. Still an automatic read tho from this author and I look forward to their next book.
