Charley Davidson is such an inspirational protagonist from the beginning of this book I couldn't get enough of her. Easy 5 stars!!! This book took me on an adventure ride that i was sad and dissapointed when i finished, because i did not want to get off. So many times while reading I burst out laughing while reading: So beware when reading this in public ;)

Never have I read a book before with so many wonderfully imaginative and witty one-liners that I wanted to memorize them so I could store them into a box for later use.

Charley's a Grim Reaper with 3.7 jobs (her words not mine) her most prided position is her own Private Investigation business enabling her to work for the Albuquerque Police Department as her Uncle Bob's (Ubie to Charley) secret weapon of choice. She's snarky, sexy, intelligent, charasmatic, empathetic, quirky, tough, and hilarious.


"My P.I. techniques would never be the stuff of legend. They would never make it into criminology textbooks or university lecture halls. But I did feel that, with some focus, I could have a strong presence in chat rooms.
If I couldn't be a good example, I'd just have to be a horrible warning.

Since she has been able to see dead people since she was born, she works solving various crimes including murder as well as getting messages back to the families of loved ones whom have passed. Though most are skeptic of her abilities she has a very few followers that believe in get ability but she doesn't flaunt it or share it with many for fear of their reaction or the fact that it may be too overwhelming for the person.

I felt this quote from the book accurately describes Charley:
"That's what he told me. You ferry souls to the other side. He said you sparkle like a newborn galaxy and
have more attitude than a rich kid with his daddy's Porsche."

Darynda Jones did a fabulous job creating the new and original character Charley Davidson. It's a breath of fresh air in Urban Fantasy. The plot had me guessing right up until the very end attempting to discover just what is Reyes??!! Only to discover I was completely wrong!

Each character was unique and fun; from Cookie the carefree supportive assistant, Debbie the wicked stepmother, Garrett the unbelievably sexy angry doubting skip-tracker, Reyes scary but deliciously sexy protector, Angel the dead 13 year old gang-banger Private Investigator, three deceased attorneys assisting Charley in solving their murder, as well as her supportive uncle and father.

I would recommend this to readers with a flair for Urban Fantasy looking for something new, mysterious and exciting!

Ann Aguirre has fraggin done it again!!!! I'm amazed at this romantic Sci-Fi fantasy world she has created. Killbox is a book about War, Love, Loss, Sacrifice, and being Heroic at the risk of losing everything.


Chancellor Tarn has put March in a position to build Starships offering protection to tier worlds as the Morgut threaten to take over. War has begun. Jax, March, Vel, Dina, Doc, Hit, are now aiding Tarn in the battle against the horrifying Morgut; flesh eaters that are out to destroy and basically consume everything and everyone in their path.

Without the help of March the new Commander of the Conglomerate ship Armada and Jax as the Lieutenant Commander the war is a dying battle. March uses his contacts and hires his mercenary friends, smugglers as well as our favorite gorgeous gold toothed pirate Hon to prepare an army large and skilled enough to defeat the Morgut.

"I always know exactly where you are in a room. I know how many times you run your fingers through your hair.
I know when you look at me as well as the precise instant you look at anyone else. So I certainly know when one of my crew propositions you six meters away."

March and Jax are inseparable, and they prove time again how strong their bond is with eachother. Their love and everlasting devotion is the most purest example of a fictional pair of soulmates that I've had the pleasure to read about. Luckily these two are strong leading characters or else they would have succumbed to their difficult heartwrenching circumstances long ago. It's seems like those two fail to have the odds in their favor.

As true to the honorable character March is, he has to put the army needs above him and Jax's. Though I understand that he must keep their relationship professional and not emotional or physical during his wartime duties, is it okay that I hate it? Because I do! Fortunately for Jax she has had time to mature and grow from selfish Jax to selfless Jax and honors her lover March's wishes and puts their relationship on hold for the sake of war. Needless to say they both suffer immensely. What can I say, I'm a fan of selfish Jax, and selfless Jax...I love her character either way.

"Men can be very stupid," he says bitterly. "We cease to value what we have until it's gone, and only then do we realize the gold we glimpsed in distant hills paled as dross compared to treasure we had in hand."

I'm angry with Doc, there I said it! He is a brillant doctor and I'm not even sure Jax would be alive if it were not for his flair for all things scientific. However as gifted as he is scientifically he falls short in other important life skills, and though he has learned his lesson, the sacrifice made for that education was devastating.

"But I would wear your colors, if you asked." he says. "I don't know what that means." I say. "If we both survive," he says softly in Ithorian, "we will speak of this again."

Is this what I think it means?? [spoilers removed] I love Vel sooooo much [spoilers removed] Jax's very good friend forever.


This book shamelessly brought me to tears. I've now found a new appreciation for all the characters involved watching them grow strong bonds with eachother and their sacrifices they make for one another including a new respect and endearment for the beautiful Villainous Ramona Jax.
"Even monsters love their own."



Oh Jax why must you break my heart at the end to go save the world??!! Especially with the lovely and deliciously sexy March at your side. Oh I can't wait to see how you get yourself out of this one.

A fantastic first book in the Dark Days series. Mira is a Nightwalker (vampire) known as "Fire Starter."

She's powerfully unique as the only Nightwalker with the power control and manipulate fire. She cam destroy her enemies without even touching them while she torches their heart with her magical balls of fire. Making her an anomaly she had this fire ability prior to becoming a Nightwalker 600 years ago. Mira is very likable and immediately from the beginning I was wrapped up in this book. She's sarcastic, caring, protective, and completely Bad-Ass!

This very powerful Nightwalker Mira battles an army of Naturi, a group with two main goals sacrifice humans and destroy Nightwalkers alike. She pairs up with a member of Themis, an ill informed group of both Naturi and Nightwalker Hunters. Danaus, a nearly 2,000 year old hunter seeks the help of Mira to eliminate the Naturi, with the only promise that he will protect her so that he may do the honors of destroying her life. She plans to kill Danaus the
first opportunity she gets, however as the unlikely duo team up together they both seem to be questioning their beliefs of the dangers of eachothers existence.


The sexual tension between these two is scorching! On several occasions I wanted to scream into the book and say
"rip eachothers clothes off already"

Danaus is a smolderingly sexy, powerful, strong, attentive, gentle, caring, protector of Mira Vampire Hunter.They both want eachother and they struggle throughout this entire book fighting it. Although they both
save eachothers life on several occasion and so each so conveniently use the excuse of wanting to kill the other themselves. ;)

Also I enjoyed another powerful Ancient Nightwalker Jabari, one minute he loves Mira as a mentor the next he's
promising to destroy her because she has disobeyed him. Jabari wants to use Mira and manipulate her to his own will and with Danaus around he feels threatened. I'm curious to see how that relationship plays itself out as he and Danaus will not enjoy having to co-exist in Mira's world.


Hopefully we haven't heard the last of Sadira, Tristan, Ryan, Jabari, Gabrirl or Barrett.

I LOVED this book and will be starting Dayhunter immediately.

My main lingering question is; What exactly IS Danaus?

Have you ever read a book before that felt like an autobiography of your embarrassing, and painful, yet exhilarating and the most romantic memorable moments of your life? Well Beautiful Disasterwas that book for me. From the moment I began reading, I was hooked. It was like I became addicted to these characters, for a whole 24 hours of reading they were my drug of choice, and two days later I’m still in awe of this beautiful story of two of the most dysfunctional characters I’ve had the pleasure to read about. See for me that was the instant attraction with this book. Anyone that is familiar with my preferred reading taste knows I am infatuated with tumultuous, codependent, and self destructive characters in love, most likely because I can relate to those volatile relationships most. Instantly this book brought me back to my early 20′s in college, living in a sorority house and partying at out of control at the fraternity parties, and loving life so hard.

“I like the Au natural thing you have going on. Girls don’t come over here like that.””I was coerced into coming here. It didn’t occur to me to impress you,� I said, aggravated that my plan had failed. “Im already impressed. I don’t normally have to beg girls to come to my apartment.�

This book is classified as YA but it is so NOT YA, and it contains everything from jealousy, drunkenness, frat parties, sex, gossip, and dramatic misunderstandings that left me wanting to slap some sense into them, however if we didn’t have those misunderstandings then we wouldn’t have Beautiful Disaster and it’s on my list of favorites read during 2012.

“Shake in your boots, boys, and drop your panties, ladies! I give you: Travis Mad dog Maddox!�

Abby Abernathy whom I will later refer to as �Pigeon� (OMG I love this nickname) in this review and you’ll understand just why later has traveled far away from her Kansas hometown with her best friend America(whom I absolutely adore) to start a new life, forget past childhood horror stories and experience college life as a freshman. So when America asks Abby to accompany her and her boyfriend Shepleyto a secret fight club match to watch Travis ‘Mad Dog� Maddox (also Shepley’s cousin and roommate) a bare-knuckle, gorgeous, tattooed, Smart, undefeated fighter, Harley driving man whore champion yet another fight.

It had always been a dream of America’s for us to date friends, and roommates-slash-cousins, for her, was hitting the jackpot.

Abby stands out as she’s the only one wearing a cardigan to such a barbaric event, but she’s enamored instantly by the atmosphere in the rink, and never does she guess that the shaved headed, tattooed, ripped muscled, ruthless fighter and mouthwatering sex pot such as Travis would even be interested in anything more than “bagging� with her “on his couch� and then never to be used again, because lets face it; with his gorgeous looks and bad boy charm all the college co-ed females are basically pushing each other aside just to remove their panties for Travis, because while he may be undefeated in the rink, he’s off the charts un-denied and undefeated with the ladies on his couch as well. *sigh*

“Oh my God! You’re killing me! That’s it. We have to be friends. I won’t take no for an answer.�

So when she meets Travis she has no intention of ever giving him the time of day much less a friendship because she’s determined to turn over a new link. She’s from a family of alcoholics and her father is an overzealous gambling addict that has no issue with using his daughter to settle his gambling debts, so she decides without even a second glance that she needs a “nice guy�, charmer that can give her the “normal� life she’s always wanted. As deluded as she was with her fantasies of a normal life, I can almost see her point except on in the first chapter we meet Travis Maddox and I’m immediately, swept away by everything and I mean everything about him. But I’m sure you can easily see that with Abby’s determination and Travis� charm that this book is going to be filled with angst, and emotional turmoil that leaves me with a heavy chest at many times during this read. Remarkably I survived those moments, and I’m left to tell you that this is the book to read if you love emotionally codependent characters, who have irresistible charm and can’t walk away, yet can’t just meet in the middle.

“I meant what I said before. You need to walk away, Pidge. God knows I can’t walk away from you.�

Travis is a heart-breaker, oblivious to his effect on women because well lets face it, he’s infamous amongst the college co-eds as the undefeated bare knuckle fighter, with a flock of females relentlessly following him everywhere, doting on his every move almost as if he’s a rock star, yet they each seem to be surprised and upset when he doesn’t ask for their phone number after randomly hooking up with him on his couch! For reals? His reputation proceeds him, so this should come as NO surprise yet, it always does.

Here is an example below of his man whorish ways�

Travis rounded the corner in a pair of boxer shorts and yawned. He looked at his guest, and then patted her backside. “My company’s here. You’d better go.”She smiled and wrapped her arms around him, kidding his neck. “I’ll leave my number on the counter.� “Eh�.don’t worry about it,� Travis said in a casual tone.”What?� she asked, leaning back to look in his eyes. “Every time!� America said. She looked at the woman. “How are you surprised by this? He’s Travis Fucking Maddox! He is famous for this very thing, and every time they’re surprised!”The girl narrowed her eyes at Travis, and then grabbed her purse and stormed out, slamming the door behind her.Travis walked into the kitchen and opened the fridge as if nothing had happened. Travis stood behind the breakfast bar, crossed his arms over his chest”What’s wrong Pidge? Hard day? ”No, I’m thoroughly disgusted.� ”With me?� He was smiling. I should have known that he expected this conversation. It only made me less inclined to hold back.“Yea, you. How can you just use someone like that, and treat them that way?””How did I treat her? She offered her number, I declined.� My mouth flew open at his lack of remorse. “You’ll have sex with her, but you won’t take her number?”Travis leaned on the counter with his elbows. “Why would I want her number if I’m not going to call her?””Why would you sleep with her of your not going to call her?””I don’t promise anyone anything, Pidge. She didn’t stipulate a relationship before she spread eagle on my couch.� I stared at the couch with revulsion.


He’s instantly captivated by Abby, because she doesn’t go out of her way to impress like all the other females, actually she does the exact opposite of them, and that just charms her way into his heart faster, the way no other before her has. She has made it clear to him that she is not interested in being one of the girls “spread eagle� on his couch, so when he offers her a friendship she reluctantly accepts, and they become the cutest more adorably charming best friends ever. I just love their friendship. This friendship becomes a shock to everyone at school and the highlight of the daily gossip because Travis doesn’t have “female friends� and yet they’re inseparable and he nicknames her “Pigeon� (oh be still my heart) you’ll love that nickname and the reasoning behind it, hopefully as much as I do. He actually refers to her as “My Pigeon� *swoon*


They’re daily routine consists of eating lunch together daily, at every female on campuses dismay, partying together, study partners (surprisingly he is a straight A student so basically he’s her tutor )below is an example of his enthusiasm for her getting top grades in her classes after he tutored her.

He tossed me over his shoulder, making his way through the crowd behind us. “Make way! Move it, people! Let’s make room for this poor woman’s hideously disfigured, ginormous brain! She’s a fucking genius!�

She becomes his good luck charm at fights, he says wherever he goes Pigeon goes, and he’s falling for her fast AND hard, yet the two involved (Travis and Pigeon) are reluctant to make any moved that will dissolve their precious friendship.Especially when she often reminds him that their friendship better be based on friendship and not an elaborate scheme to get her into bed. Ahhhhhh the angst in this book nearly killed me!

But this is just the beginning…�

After being so close over the past two weeks, he makes a bet with Pigeon (unbeknownst to him she cannot resist a good wager) that if he can go an entire fight without the huge monster of an opponent getting one hit on him, then she must move in with him for one month (in a way to ensure their friendship remains) and if he loses then he must remain abstinent for one month. Oh boy, this is where the excitement begins and I’m left wishing I could erase about ten years off my life and experience the college life once again. As a matter of fact my friend Cimmaron said the same exact thing to me once we had both read it. This is an example of how their tumultuous relationship causes not only for them to suffer but everyone around them suffers including Shepley (Travis� cousin and devoted boyfriend to America) and you can’t help but feel for him, as he suffers as he winds up in the middle of this beautifully disastrously charismatic relationship I fell in love with.Enter Parker, that’s the only introduction he needs Yuck because I don’t like him at all and Pigeon begins dating him right in front of Travis, oh and we get to witness the tragedy unfold. I especially grow fond of America, shes the ideal best friend, completely loyal, full of drama, yet sincerity and she is simply a delight though out the entire story.

“You’re not jealous, are you, Pideon?� “Jealous of what? The STD-infested imbecile you’re going to piss off in the morning?�

Over the time the lines between friendship and lovers gets muddy and it’s not only an emotional roller coaster to read, it’s also so much fun too.

I can think of a couple times I had to put this book down and walk away just to get my motions under control because the brilliant way that Jamie McGuire writes this story made me feel like I was the person involved in this romance. Travis tries hard to be a good boy, but he can’t help it he’s jealous, has a temper, and he does a few things that will once again cause that lump in your throat or heavy feeling in your chest to resurface, while he breaks her heart and she breaks his heart. I cried so hard in public at the gym nonetheless that when a woman accosted me in the bathroom as I fled the stationary bike much to my embarrassment, when she asked what was wrong, I was left with no other choice but to lie (I mean c’mon am I supposed to tell her that my book boyfriend in the book I’m reading started to cry and so I’m crying for him? I didn’t think so) and say my boyfriend has broken up with me and that I’m sorry to have disturbed her with my bathroom freak out (at the gym *gasp*) she proceeds to pat me on the back and tell me to cheer up, and things will work itself out�.Well now that the sweet unsuspecting woman has no idea that I’m actually crazy LOL, I went back to reading and didn’t put it down until I finished! And then I re-read it again while writing this review.

“A toast!� he yelled.“To Douschebags!� he said. “And to girls that break you’re heart,� he bowed his head to me.”And to the absolute fucking horror of losing your best friend because you were stupid enough to fall in love with her.�

This moment made my chest heavy once again, and put my stomach in knots again…�

So despite Travis charm, and confident ways, deep inside he’s vulnerable and not sure how to proceed considering he’s never been in love, unsure of himself but all he knows is that without Pigeon by his side, his life will no longer be complete, now that he’s realized, his life was meaningless before her. He’s my favorite bad boy and I couldn’t resist his charms ever, and surprisingly because this rarely happens I blamed the Pigeon for the majority of their problems because shes a “runner� and even though he’s the “bad boy� his vulnerability with her leaves me broken for him a bit more than I was for her, even though many times my eyes watered for her, I was shocked that the times I was most distraught was when he was hurting the most!

His fingers lightly grazed my cheek. “I didn’t know you before. When you’re not there, I can’t concentrate. I’m wondering where you are, what you’re doing�.if you’re there and I can see you, I can focus. I know it’s crazy, but that’s how it is.””And crazy is exactly the way I like it,� I said, leaning up to kiss his lips.

When I finished this book all I wanted to do was tell all my book buddies that if they have yet to read this then they must!!!!!! But I must warn you, this book is NOT for the faint of heart. It’s for those of you that wish to spend the entire day in angsty romance that will hold onto you relentlessly even days after you finish reading it!

Most everyone knows I’m a HUGE Fifty Shades of Grey, and Bared To You fan, and while these books are very different than Beautiful Disaster yet it’s recommended for fans of those two books because the relentless dysfunction of characters in love are displayed withvery similar when you think of insecure, confident, powerful, hot mess of totally dysfunctional characters, so if you can handle and enjoy a good emotional read that tugs at your heart strings the entire time you read it, yet at the end your left wanting more but the ending is completely beautiful nonetheless?

“I belong to my beloved, and my beloved is mine.�

Well if you can then please read Beautiful Disaster. Travis might be the boy your momma warned you about but I can assure you, he will leave you breathless and looking for key to his heart immediately upon reading this. If you like bad boys�..and lucky for me, I revel in them. This book is one of my ultimate favorite reads of 2012 and it was disastrously beautiful!! Warning: This book is a drug, and it will suck you in, bleed you dry, break your heart, make you fall in love and then at the end you’ll be left empty, and doing exactly what I’m doing now, re-reading this book, making it difficult to say goodbye to this Beautiful and glorious Disaster.

Have you ever read a book before that felt like an autobiography of your embarrassing, and painful, yet exhilarating and the most romantic memorable moments of your life? Well Beautiful Disasterwas that book for me. From the moment I began reading, I was hooked. It was like I became addicted to these characters, for a whole 24 hours of reading they were my drug of choice, and two days later I’m still in awe of this beautiful story of two of the most dysfunctional characters I’ve had the pleasure to read about. See for me that was the instant attraction with this book. Anyone that is familiar with my preferred reading taste knows I am infatuated with tumultuous, codependent, and self destructive characters in love, most likely because I can relate to those volatile relationships most. Instantly this book brought me back to my early 20′s in college, living in a sorority house and partying at out of control at the fraternity parties, and loving life so hard.

“I like the Au natural thing you have going on. Girls don’t come over here like that.””I was coerced into coming here. It didn’t occur to me to impress you,� I said, aggravated that my plan had failed. “Im already impressed. I don’t normally have to beg girls to come to my apartment.�

This book is classified as YA but it is so NOT YA, and it contains everything from jealousy, drunkenness, frat parties, sex, gossip, and dramatic misunderstandings that left me wanting to slap some sense into them, however if we didn’t have those misunderstandings then we wouldn’t have Beautiful Disaster and it’s on my list of favorites read during 2012.

“Shake in your boots, boys, and drop your panties, ladies! I give you: Travis Mad dog Maddox!�

Abby Abernathy whom I will later refer to as �Pigeon� (OMG I love this nickname) in this review and you’ll understand just why later has traveled far away from her Kansas hometown with her best friend America(whom I absolutely adore) to start a new life, forget past childhood horror stories and experience college life as a freshman. So when America asks Abby to accompany her and her boyfriend Shepleyto a secret fight club match to watch Travis ‘Mad Dog� Maddox (also Shepley’s cousin and roommate) a bare-knuckle, gorgeous, tattooed, Smart, undefeated fighter, Harley driving man whore champion yet another fight.

It had always been a dream of America’s for us to date friends, and roommates-slash-cousins, for her, was hitting the jackpot.

Abby stands out as she’s the only one wearing a cardigan to such a barbaric event, but she’s enamored instantly by the atmosphere in the rink, and never does she guess that the shaved headed, tattooed, ripped muscled, ruthless fighter and mouthwatering sex pot such as Travis would even be interested in anything more than “bagging� with her “on his couch� and then never to be used again, because lets face it; with his gorgeous looks and bad boy charm all the college co-ed females are basically pushing each other aside just to remove their panties for Travis, because while he may be undefeated in the rink, he’s off the charts un-denied and undefeated with the ladies on his couch as well. *sigh*

“Oh my God! You’re killing me! That’s it. We have to be friends. I won’t take no for an answer.�

So when she meets Travis she has no intention of ever giving him the time of day much less a friendship because she’s determined to turn over a new link. She’s from a family of alcoholics and her father is an overzealous gambling addict that has no issue with using his daughter to settle his gambling debts, so she decides without even a second glance that she needs a “nice guy�, charmer that can give her the “normal� life she’s always wanted. As deluded as she was with her fantasies of a normal life, I can almost see her point except on in the first chapter we meet Travis Maddox and I’m immediately, swept away by everything and I mean everything about him. But I’m sure you can easily see that with Abby’s determination and Travis� charm that this book is going to be filled with angst, and emotional turmoil that leaves me with a heavy chest at many times during this read. Remarkably I survived those moments, and I’m left to tell you that this is the book to read if you love emotionally codependent characters, who have irresistible charm and can’t walk away, yet can’t just meet in the middle.

“I meant what I said before. You need to walk away, Pidge. God knows I can’t walk away from you.�

Travis is a heart-breaker, oblivious to his effect on women because well lets face it, he’s infamous amongst the college co-eds as the undefeated bare knuckle fighter, with a flock of females relentlessly following him everywhere, doting on his every move almost as if he’s a rock star, yet they each seem to be surprised and upset when he doesn’t ask for their phone number after randomly hooking up with him on his couch! For reals? His reputation proceeds him, so this should come as NO surprise yet, it always does.

Travis stood behind the breakfast bar, crossed his arms over his chest”What’s wrong Pidge? Hard day? ”No, I’m thoroughly disgusted.� ”With me?� He was smiling. I should have known that he expected this conversation. It only made me less inclined to hold back.“Yea, you. How can you just use someone like that, and treat them that way?””How did I treat her? She offered her number, I declined.� My mouth flew open at his lack of remorse. “You’ll have sex with her, but you won’t take her number?”Travis leaned on the counter with his elbows. “Why would I want her number if I’m not going to call her?””Why would you sleep with her of your not going to call her?””I don’t promise anyone anything, Pidge. He’s instantly captivated by Abby, because she doesn’t go out of her way to impress like all the other females, actually she does the exact opposite of them, and that just charms her way into his heart faster, the way no other before her has. She has made it clear to him that she is not interested in being one of the girls “spread eagle� on his couch, so when he offers her a friendship she reluctantly accepts, and they become the cutest more adorably charming best friends ever. I just love their friendship. This friendship becomes a shock to everyone at school and the highlight of the daily gossip because Travis doesn’t have “female friends� and yet they’re inseparable and he nicknames her “Pigeon� (oh be still my heart) you’ll love that nickname and the reasoning behind it, hopefully as much as I do. He actually refers to her as “My Pigeon� *swoon*


They’re daily routine consists of eating lunch together daily, at every female on campuses dismay, partying together, study partners (surprisingly he is a straight A student so basically he’s her tutor )below is an example of his enthusiasm for her getting top grades in her classes after he tutored her.

He tossed me over his shoulder, making his way through the crowd behind us. “Make way! Move it, people! Let’s make room for this poor woman’s hideously disfigured, ginormous brain! She’s a fucking genius!�

She becomes his good luck charm at fights, he says wherever he goes Pigeon goes, and he’s falling for her fast AND hard, yet the two involved (Travis and Pigeon) are reluctant to make any moved that will dissolve their precious friendship.Especially when she often reminds him that their friendship better be based on friendship and not an elaborate scheme to get her into bed. Ahhhhhh the angst in this book nearly killed me!

Okay soooo As a HUGE Vampire Academy fan please allow me to adress the whole "It's just like V.A. Issue"..... Well it did have several moments especially in the beginning as well as the concept that held an uncanny resemblance to Vampire Academy, there's no denying that, however keep reading because Half-Blood transforms into something unique and desirable that will capture the hearts of their own fans. In Half-Blood the premise revolves around mythical creatures which I'm finding very intriguing at this moment.

Meet Alexandria, or more preferably known as Alex, she's smart, witty, fascinating, sarcastic, irresponsible, and basically thinks she's "bad-ass" like every other seventeen year old and she charmed me from page one. She's considered a Half-Blood; with her father a mundane human and her mother a Hematoi a very powerful race of Pure-Bloods, a product of the Greeks shacking up after the demigods died. She finds herself back at the Covenant living on Deity Island after her mom succumbed to an attack by force from a group of Daimons.

"She was everything to me!" I jumped to my feet. "She did nothing but think of me. What happened to her was horrific---'tragic' is for people who die in car wrecks!"

Daimons are basically the Strigoi of this series, but they drink blood from Pures and Half to obtain the Aether carried in their bloodstream. If you can't get past the Vampire Academy similarities stop now, but if you can you're in for an awesome new series because it takes us readers on an entirely different ride than Vampire Academy. It's equally emotionally charged but look put because the plot is uniquely heartbreaking, breathtaking, and exciting!!!!:-)

What I love most is that they both supportive friends and that just it; they're platonic friends with no desire of a relationship, a productive example once again that males and females can be just friends. I look forward to more of Caleb throughout this series.

Then there's the sexy Aiden St. Delfi, a Full Blood also referred to as Hematoi; he's fiercely responsible and dedicated to training Alex to becoming a powerful Sentinel. He also unbeknownst to himself has been in possesion of the key to Alex's heart for the past three years. Quickly he becomes her confidant, mentor, and masculine shoulder to cry on. He proves himself crushworthy Swoon along the way and you cannot help but encourage the budding relationship between Alex and Aiden because he's loyal, trustworthy, strong, and cares about Alex's well being above his own. When Aiden St. isn't training his forbidden crush Alex he is carrying out the parental figure with his alcoholic abusing fun loving, promiscuous brother Deacon and each and every scene he's in was a mixture of fun and rebellion.

But wait because the list of lustworthy males is still in abundance because I can't seem to get dangerously gifted Seth The Apollyon out of my thoughts, especially since he is also described as being inhumanely gorgeous by Alex.

"I knew you were here. Not you so to speak. But I knew someone---someone different. I felt it outside, before I entered the lobby. It was like a magnetic pull. I zeroed in on you immediately. That has never happened before."

he unfolded his arms to reach for me. I pulled back. There were a multitude of reasons why I didn't want him to touch me. Alarmed that he was actually going to,

I blurted out the first thing that came to my mind.

Seth froze. Hell he no longer looked like he wanted to touch me, or be in the same zip code as me.

The Apollyon is a unique and rare anomaly amongst the half bloods. As an Apollyon he has mastered every element at a Full Blood's disposal such as Air, Water, Fire, as well as Earth Spells and Compulsions all at once and his blood is merely classified as a half blood. Often he's feared and revered amongst his kind as almost a deity as he is all powerful and has no limitations on what powers are at his disposal. He holds plenty of mystery as well as inherited gifts that enables him to be more powerful than even the purest of Hematoi. There's something about a mystically charismatic character with a bit of a feisty naughty boy quality that captures my attention and mesmerizes me to no end.



For those readers like myself that need plenty of males to gush about in not only do we get funny lovable Caleb, but we get Fiercely responsible Aiden, irresponsible Deacon and mysterious Seth.

I can already see that this premiere series by Jennifer L. Armentrout will be on my favorites list. This book was amazing and with all of it's plot twists and turns, I can't even imagine what is in store for us readers in Pure Blood next year.

What was I supposed to do? Kill her, Run from her. Save her somehow?

She endures all this angst while enjoying a taste of love, experiencing immeasurable pain, fortunately she has the comforting embrace of a loyal and devoted friend.

Alex receives an electrifying revelation that will change her life forever as a predestined future set forth by the gods before her. I'm Obsessed excited to find out how this revelation into her bloodline is carried out with this series and a certain someone.

I can't say enough wonderfully awesome things about this book! I loved, loved, loved it!!!

For all of you readers that enjoy an exciting page turner this is the book for you.

Okay soooo As a HUGE Vampire Academy fan please allow me to adress the whole "It's just like V.A. Issue"..... Well it did have several moments especially in the beginning as well as the concept that held an uncanny resemblance to Vampire Academy, there's no denying that, however keep reading because Half-Blood transforms into something unique and desirable that will capture the hearts of their own fans. In Half-Blood the premise revolves around mythical creatures which I'm finding very intriguing at this moment.

Meet Alexandria, or more preferably known as Alex, she's smart, witty, fascinating, sarcastic, irresponsible, and basically thinks she's "bad-ass" like every other seventeen year old and she charmed me from page one. She's considered a Half-Blood; with her father a mundane human and her mother a Hematoi a very powerful race of Pure-Bloods, a product of the Greeks shacking up after the demigods died. She finds herself back at the Covenant living on Deity Island after her mom succumbed to an attack by force from a group of Daimons.

"She was everything to me!" I jumped to my feet. "She did nothing but think of me. What happened to her was horrific---'tragic' is for people who die in car wrecks!"

Daimons are basically the Strigoi of this series, but they drink blood from Pures and Half to obtain the Aether carried in their bloodstream. If you can't get past the Vampire Academy similarities stop now, but if you can you're in for an awesome new series because it takes us readers on an entirely different ride than Vampire Academy. It's equally emotionally charged but look put because the plot is uniquely heartbreaking, breathtaking, and exciting!!!!:-)

Her best friend Caleb was an extremely desirable best friend to have and he was hilarious!!! I found him extremely likable and a very reliable friend to Alex. What I love most is that they both supportive friends and that just it; they're platonic friends with no desire of a relationship, a productive example once again that males and females can be just friends. I look forward to more of Caleb throughout this series.

Then there's the sexy Aiden St. Delfi, a Full Blood also referred to as Hematoi; he's fiercely responsible and dedicated to training Alex to becoming a powerful Sentinel. He also unbeknownst to himself has been in possesion of the key to Alex's heart for the past three years. Quickly he becomes her confidant, mentor, and masculine shoulder to cry on. He proves himself crushworthy Swoon along the way and you cannot help but encourage the budding relationship between Alex and Aiden because he's loyal, trustworthy, strong, and cares about Alex's well being above his own. When Aiden St. isn't training his forbidden crush Alex he is carrying out the parental figure with his alcoholic abusing fun loving, promiscuous brother Deacon and each and every scene he's in was a mixture of fun and rebellion.

But wait because the list of lustworthy males is still in abundance because I can't seem to get dangerously gifted Seth The Apollyon out of my thoughts, especially since he is also described as being inhumanely gorgeous by Alex.

"I knew you were here. Not you so to speak. But I knew someone---someone different. I felt it outside, before I entered the lobby. It was like a magnetic pull. I zeroed in on you immediately. That has never happened before."

he unfolded his arms to reach for me. I pulled back. There were a multitude of reasons why I didn't want him to touch me. Alarmed that he was actually going to,

I blurted out the first thing that came to my mind.

"I saw your tattoos."


Seth froze. Hell he no longer looked like he wanted to touch me, or be in the same zip code as me.

The Apollyon is a unique and rare anomaly amongst the half bloods. As an Apollyon he has mastered every element at a Full Blood's disposal such as Air, Water, Fire, as well as Earth Spells and Compulsions all at once and his blood is merely classified as a half blood. Often he's feared and revered amongst his kind as almost a deity as he is all powerful and has no limitations on what powers are at his disposal. He holds plenty of mystery as well as inherited gifts that enables him to be more powerful than even the purest of Hematoi. There's something about a mystically charismatic character with a bit of a feisty naughty boy quality that captures my attention and mesmerizes me to no end.



For those readers like myself that need plenty of males to gush about in not only do we get funny lovable Caleb, but we get Fiercely responsible Aiden, irresponsible Deacon and mysterious Seth.

Anastasia is a wholesome twenty one year old college graduate with goals, values, and self respect. She's completely smitten with this lustworthy Christian Grey immediately. What I found so fascinating about her was that she wasn't willing to bow down and succumb to Christian's rules and regulations. She's intelligent, and doesn't take no for an answer and pushes the envelope when she should.

"You know, when you fell into my office to interview me, you were all ‘yes, sir�, ‘no, sir�. I thought you were a natural born submissive. But quite frankly, Anastasia, I’m not sure you have a submissive bone in your delectable body.� He moves slowly toward me as his speaks, his voice tense."

Whereas Christian is wealthy, gorgeous, arrogant, charismatic, bossy, domineering and is unfamiliar with boundaries and the word NO. Since Anna is the first woman willing to love him in spite of his darkness, while showering him with love, but not bowing down to his demands while exposing his vulnerable side hes had hidden behind his dark vices for too long. This throws Christian for a loop and he can't help but stay fascinated with the intelligent, and charming Anastasia Steele.

This book explores love, lust, pain, fear, trust, and pushes the boundaries while doing it.The succulent Domineering Christian is an emotional virgin, a victim of sexual abuse by an older woman as a young teen has left him empty, and hollow, and unable of having a relationship based on love and not pain, that is until he meets feisty fun-loving Anastasia Steele.

Poor, fucked-up, kinky, philanthropic Christian � though I’m sure he wouldn’t see himself this way and would repel any thoughts of sympathy or pity.

This an adult romantic fantasy book, and those that disagree with the behavior of the the female protagonist and her male love interests are forgetting one very important detail: Anastasia NEVER SIGNS THE SUB/DOM CONTRACT Christian gave her.

This is not a book about abuse, or rape, calculated anger, this is a book about a broken man, a lovely woman, who enter into a consensual BDSM relationship. This is a couple who engage in a romantic relationship with an advantageous sex life, and here thanks to E.L. James, we get to witness first hand, the wonderful, the unbelievably sad and tumultuous nature of the that relationship.

I agree to the conditions Angel, because you know best what my punishment ought to be; only-only- don't make it worse than I can bear.

Fifty shades of Grey contains some of the most fun, playful, loving, whirlwind exciting romantic scenes and my most cherished moments in this book was the playful loving interaction between Christian and Anastasia via email. Those I won't spoil for you, but the at where my love affair with these two progressed.

"I don’t do the girlfriend thing. ‘I’m not a hearts and flowers kind of guy.‘I don’t make love.� This is all I know."

I am completly obsessed with this trilogy. From the gorgeous Christian Grey *takes up all the space in my fantasies lately* Anastasia is a wonderful character, that I feel represents a strong willed, positively portrayed female.

When I wasn't reading Fifty, I was thinking about it. I was enamored with this book immediately and I'm now obsessed with this series! This book is not for the faint of heart but it is beautiful, passionate and by the last chapter left me broken and hollow myself, I was sobbing; but those tumultuous love stories are always my most cherished, memorable, favorite, obsessive and fascinating reads. I loved Fifty Shades of Grey!!!!!

Oh � what have I done?

I fall onto my bed, shoes and all, and howl. The pain is indescribable� physical, mental� metaphysical� it is everywhere, seeping into the marrow of my bones. Grief. This is grief � and I’ve brought it on myself. Deep down, a nasty, unbidden thought comes from my inner goddess, her lip curled in a snarl� the physical pain from the bite of a belt is nothing, nothing compared to this devastation. I curl up, desperately clutching the flat foil balloon and Taylor’s handkerchief, and surrender myself to my grief.

Wow! This book cast a spell on me that had me glued from the first page. Kindling The Moon was a fantastic start to a new Urban Fantasy series with plenty of romance and sexual tension to satisfy us Paranormal Romance lovers as well. This unique and imaginative world built by Jenn Bennett is so magically constructed that its like nothing I've ever read before. Arcadia Bell lives in a world that consists of Demons adorning Halos, and Magicians, and Sexual potions Oh My!

Meet Arcadia Bell a compelling twenty five year old feisty, very lovable, powerful Magician with a silver Halo to match her artistically talented skills while slangin shots at the local paranormal friendly bar she co-owns. She's been living alone under her alias Arcadia Bell for seven years honing her skills since her parents "faked" their death to escape charges of the murders of other powerful occultist. While secretly desiring a closer relationship with her parents she suddenly catches a news story of WANTED serial killer fugitives thought dead by society have now resurfaced. He looked at me challengingly with his arms crossed over his chest.

"Don't think I can arouse you?" I froze. Maybe he was joking."Or is it that you're afraid you can't arouse me?"


Never have I had so many Fantasies daydreams of a male character wondering just what that Demon-Licious mustache really does feel like when Arcadia kissed it...;) What I loved about Lon was his self confidence, Arrogance masculinity, power, protective, and Don't F***k with me attitude.

I glanced at Lon and nodded. He lowered his gun and spoke to him in a low, rational voice.

 "I wanted you to know what she could do. Don't look for, don't ask about her. Don't even think about her. If I find out that you have, I'll come back, and I damn well won't be happy. That goes for my kid too." His gaze captured Spooner's.


"Were not afraid of you, but you should be afraid of us."


One of my favorite characters was Lon's son Jupiter or most recognizably known as Jupe, and he's thirteen years old and reminded me of the cutest puppy dog that follows you everywhere. I found myself looking forward to scenes with Jupe! He was smart, spunky,, witty, overwhelming, charismatic and very mature for his ripe old age of thirteen! LOL. I'm looking forward to lots more of Jupe in the next Arcadia Bell novel because he wa beyond adorable.


"what? Tomorrow? Happy birthday! The big twenty-six, huh?"
"Twenty-five," I corrected without thinking. "I thought you were already twenty-five? That's what my dad told me when I asked him."

He cocked an eyebrow at me like he'd just discovered some Zakinthos secret, then mumbled,
"Talk about cradle robbing...."


I absolutly Loved, Loved, Loved this wonderfully written new series!!!

If you have not had the pleasure of meeting Arcadia, Lon, Jupe, Mr. Piggy (the reason behind my new obsession with owning a hedgehog), Priya and all Arcadia's other friends then you must read this now!!

This book was an easy 5 stars and my only dissapointment is that 2012 is too far away for the next installment.

Never have I had so many Fantasies daydreams of a male character wondering just what that Demon-Licious mustache really does feel like when Arcadia kissed it...;) What I loved about Lon was his self confidence, Arrogance masculinity, power, protective, and Don't F***k with me attitude.

I glanced at Lon and nodded. He lowered his gun and spoke to him in a low, rational voice.

 "I wanted you to know what she could do. Don't look for, don't ask about her. Don't even think about her. If I find out that you have, I'll come back, and I damn well won't be happy. That goes for my kid too." His gaze captured Spooner's.


"Were not afraid of you, but you should be afraid of us."


One of my favorite characters was Lon's son Jupiter or most recognizably known as Jupe, and he's thirteen years old and reminded me of the cutest puppy dog that follows you everywhere. I found myself looking forward to scenes with Jupe! He was smart, spunky,, witty, overwhelming, charismatic and very mature for his ripe old age of thirteen! LOL. I'm looking forward to lots more of Jupe in the next Arcadia Bell novel because he wa beyond adorable.


"what? Tomorrow? Happy birthday! The big twenty-six, huh?"
"Twenty-five," I corrected without thinking. "I thought you were already twenty-five? That's what my dad told me when I asked him."

He cocked an eyebrow at me like he'd just discovered some Zakinthos secret, then mumbled,
"Talk about cradle robbing...."


I absolutly Loved, Loved, Loved this wonderfully written new series!!!

If you have not had the pleasure of meeting Arcadia, Lon, Jupe, Mr. Piggy (the reason behind my new obsession with owning a hedgehog), Priya and all Arcadia's other friends then you must read this now!!

This book was an easy 5 stars and my only dissapointment is that 2012 is too far away for the next installment.

Upon originally learning that this story would focus on Ferociously Delicious Archangel Raphael's second in command Dimitri I was a bit apprehensive to get excited to read Archangel's Blade. However, I have fallen a bit in love with the Sensually lethal, and Beautifully corrupt Dimitri. Shame on me for having little faith in Nalini Singh and her brillant paranormal romance writing skills. I was captivated by Dimitri and his tortured story from the minute I opened the first page.

"Please Dimitri, Valeria cried. "Don't turn into a monster because of a mortal."

It made him smile in genuine amusement.

"Dear Valeria, I was a monster before you were born."


For those of us including myself that can't successully erase the former image of a taunting Sexual Deviant Dimitri blowing a kiss to Elena after she cuts his throat with a knife, well we get the same Dimitri while exploring a gentler side that feels as sensual as a lovers caress.

What I appreciated most about Dimitri was that he remained his usual Arrogant, Calculating, Sex Pot, Ruthless, and Deviantly Handsome man he was Tortured MADE to be, except when he's in the privacy of Honor's affection he can deny her nothing as she brings a softer side of him non existent to any other women in his life for centuries.

His tortured story left me speechless as I read of the brutality that he suffered at the hands of a deranged Angel. He was an honorable man left stripped of all his reasons to live and we discover how powerful and rich the bond he has cultivated with Archangel Raphael.

Honor is a very likable and tortured Guild Hunter that after two months of brutality at the hands of homicidal vampires has been left a battered and bruised shell of her former self. I couldn't help but cheer beside her at the possibility of her overcoming her fears and finding happiness in the one species that she is now understandably terrified and repulsed by....a vampire. Not just an ordinary vampire but an Archangel's Blade named Dimitri....

Holding her gaze, he closed the final distance between them and went down to his knees, that beautiful face to her abdomen, tears started flowing again, slow and quiet, over her cheeks.

Dimitri didn't bow his head to anyone; he didn't surrender or submit. But he was on his knees before her, vulnerable to a kick, a stab to the neck, the most violent rejection.

This is an emotionally griping story of Losing Love, Overcoming Fears, Avenging someone, Surviving, and Capturing Love when you least expect it.

Although I've always been a devoted fan of Nalini Singh and her exciting Guild Hunter series, she has renewed my obsession with her wonderfully gifted writing skills once again. If you haven't had the pleasure of reading this series it's a must read for paranormal romance fans and I suggest you do it now!!!

So everyone that knows me knows I'm completely obsessed with Rachel Caine and her dark gritty world of Morganville Vampires and especially my insanely brilliant vampire Myrnin.He's to die for, literally. ;)

"Frank." Myrnin said, and all the fussiness was gone from his voice, leaving it flat and cold. "If you wish to be insulting, I can just mute you for a few days until you learn manners. These are my guests. Granted, I don't really like your son, but I tolerate him, and you can do the same."

Okay so, to those of you that have not succumbed to my begging recommendations of this series, shame on you because you're missing out. Big time! ;) It's the eleventh book already, and this series has yet to get boring.

So usually these books are told from Claire (a human prodigy) POV, and she's courageous, and lovable, and fearless, but when I discovered this book would be told from several other POV's although Claire is awesome, I must admit I was curious. We get to explore inside The Ruthless Founder of Morganville Amelie (vampire)), as well as deliciously devoted Shane (Claire's bf) did i forget sexy?, Our favorite Morganville Goth Princess Eve (Claire's best friend), and our gorgeous guitar playing vampire Michael (Eve's gf).

Although I found it fascinating inside their minds, my only wish is that we can get inside my absolute favorite Morganville residents mind;Myrnin!!!!! Every page he appears in the book I'm glued instantly, yes I'll admit, I'm not ashamed I have a huge embarrassingly shameless crush on a sometimes insane, though nonetheless absolutely brilliant vampire who keeps a pet spider named Bob as a companion, a human brain in a jar so he can have instant scientific access to the city, Hawaiian shirt wearing, bunny slipper sporting, pompous, arrogant, handsome twenty something frozen in time vampire named Myrnin. ;)


Wow! A lot happened in this book, and it took a dark and grittier turn in a new an exciting direction. In the middle of the book I was heartbroken and found myself crying along with everyone......I was wishing that [spoilers removed] obviously Rachel Caine decided on the alternative to what I was eagerly anticipating, but it was still very enjoyable in the end. :)

Men are always rescuing women, but sometimes they're the ones needing saving too!

Eve leaned forward."I've learned a lot of things, Monica,"she said just enough to be heard over the wind and the music. "Michael is missing. He may be dying. I am not in the mood for your shallow bullshit right now. If you get in my way, I will cut you, because you are nothing but a speed bump on my way to saving him. Are we clear?"

I love that Eve will move mountains to save Michael and he in turn will always protect her, even if it means going against his own species.

"I want you to promise me one thing."

"What?"

"Promise me you'll marry me. Not now. Someday. Because I need to know."

Well what could I possibly say about deliciously devoted bad boy Shane, except for........Can I have my very own Shane???!!!! ;)

I absolutely Loved, Loved, Loved, Last Breath!!!! I can't wait until the next installment.

Lately I haven't had much time to read, and luckily this book was exactly what I needed to get me back into my reading grove. ;) As usual The Morganville Vampires have yet to disappoint me. Fortunately Rachel Caine writes these about every six months so the wait is short compared to other series.

Too many feelings coming off of those girls and I'm not good at deflecting them. They seem to roll right off of Drew. The tears and the name calling and the bitterness done even faze him.

Drew an outgoing unapologetic man whore is Josh's best friend and the closest thing to family he has. What I adored about Drew was his larger than life personality, with the ego and charm that easily paints the full picture of the most valuable player on campus. Every girl wants to screw him and every guy wants to be him. Luckily Josh has no desire to seek out relationships with others whether it be short term or long lasting with his unfortunate deaths that have surrounded him, so he and Drew are prefect opposites and extraordinary friends.

"Sorry," I apologize with an utter lack of conviction and keep walking. "I thought you were just asking me to clean up your mess. I didn't realize you were being a friend and giving me an unresponsive drunk girl to rape. Next time, be a little clearer for me so I don't miss such a golden opportunity." I can't hide the sarcasm in my tone and I don't try.

Despite Josh's iron man attitude at school that gives him plenty of space to be a loner he's actually a tender and thoughtful guy at heart to those that he's willing to let get close to him. He enjoys being a loner, he prefers to keep it that way, and has every intention of doing just that.....That is until Nastya Kashnikov shows up and demands more. She becomes friends with Josh and Drew and their friendship is amusing at times, and even throughout the silent times its radiant like a diamond just home much these three treasure each others friendship, clearly they're a family.

The only three things that I know for certain took place last night are that one-small elves climbed up my body and tied my hair into a mass of tiny knots, two-I must have slept with my mouth open because something crawled into it and died and three-I was sucked through a vortex into some animated world where an anvil was dropped on my head

A romance between Josh and Nastya begins to unfold but its not quickly, actually it's more realistic than I'm used to reading it was refreshing. Once Nastya shows up at the end of Josh's driveway that late night there's no turning back for either of these two. It feels like a slow moving spell has been cast on these two causing their chemistry to sizzle and no matter how hard these two try to resist out of fear of the unknown they're unable. Yes, it's exactly as if Millay cast a romantic spell on a destroyed young girl and a broken young boy and I'm pretty sure a spell was projected onto me as well because I couldn't sleep until I devoured the last page of this seductive tale of shattered dreams, broken past, and how two people can find one another and perhaps maybe become one another's salvation or resurrection.

I never realized that grief and self-pity weren't the same thing. I thought grieving was what I was doing all this time I had been feeling sorry for myself, but it wasn't. So for the first time in nearly three years, I let myself grieve.

While I was devouring The Sea of Tranquility I laughed "How come you call her honey and never use terms of endearment on me?" He fake whines. "I do," Mrs. Leighton says, patting him on the cheek as she walks by. "Just last week I called you the bane of my existence." ...."That's right," he says. "That was a good day." I cried, I can tell you it's a painting of a hand, my hand, turned up and opened to the world and that it reached into my body and rips out everything that's left. Because in the palm, right in the center, is the pearl button I never reached. and I cheered I never gave two shits about normal. I wanted to be extraordinary while reading because along the way Nastya, Josh, Drew, the Leightons, and the rest of the supporting characters I was bewitched with their personal lives.

Hate strengthened my body and shaped my resolve and what I resolved to do was to get revenge. Hate seemed pretty damn healthy to me.

I was fascinated with Katja Millay's ability to weave an immaculately executed story that oozes symbolism from beginning to end. The storyline was sad at times however I had hope the entire experience reading it. By the end of The Sea of Tranquility I was also believing in second chances. If you want a book without any paranormal aspects yet you feel magic unfolding while reading the story this is the book for you. If you want to discover what a life can be transformed into once you quit regretting decisions and move beyond tragedy and devastation then I recommend you read The Sea of Tranquility, but beware you'll be swept away in this heartfelt romantic, intoxicating, refreshing, magical and incredibly beautiful story about deciding to live after loss once you've picked up the pieces. This will forever be a favorite of mine, and I hope it becomes a favorite of yours as well!

Hold on while I fan myself. Okay so on a complete side note. I have a celebrity rocker that I have met in Las Vegas, my hometown, and also in Los Angeles, because I always seem to run into him at various awards shows I attend. So one time he was in my hometown for a perfume launch and after about 6 different times meeting him he spotted me and called me to the front of the line, doing his usual spill of giving me his fake name, and hotel information, and it finally occurred to me; he can have any beautiful model or celebrity he wants so why would he always want me. Truly this is an offer she cannot even fathom passing up even though she's reluctant to because she knows that getting too close to Lucas can be dangerous.....dangerous to her health, sanity, and her vulnerable heart. But even though its obvious that Lucas will come out a winner in this scenario as well if he's able to win her heart, but at such an expensive price tag he shows a remarkably generous as well as a compassionate side that made my heart melt for him. Lucas is the epitome of a rock star bad boys with a heart of gold for the one person that he's vulnerable to....Sienna. He's a control freak, into a bit of kink, yet he's tender when needed to be.

“I plan on making you sit on making you sit perfectly still,� he says, his hazel eyes gleaming with desire and power. “Dipping my fingers, my fruit, inside of your body. Tasting you. I’ve grown addicted to the way you taste, Red.�

What I appreciated about the story was that not only does Lucas have his own demons that he's battling, it's all unravelled slowly, and its these imperfections and his own dark side that makes you love him even more. Throughout his and Siennas journey she discovers that behind all that confidence and smoldering sexiness he's also a a vulnerable man that has it all (money & fame) yet he wants nothing more than to possess her mind, body, and soul. *sigh* Did I mention that Lucas serenades Sienna to sleep wearing nothing but his tattoos?? YES! Totally mouthwatering billionaire bad boy rocker at his finest.

And no making me do sexual favors?� I ask one final time.
His lips curl up into a hungry smile and I know there’s a caveat. "Oh, we’ll fuck Sienna. Believe me, it’s been bound to happen since I first laid eyes on you. But this time it’s going to be because you beg me. Not the other way around.

I found Lucas and Siennas story sexy, fun, angsty, and romantic yet at some times I found it to be missing a few pieces and a bit slower, yet I’m looking forward to reading Consumed the next book in the lives of Sienna and Lucas. The book ends on a bit of a cliffhanger, and its definitely a great debut romance novel that I predict many will love and even with the abrupt ending, I’m expecting any of the pieces that Emily Snow didn’t answer for me will be delivered in the next installment of the Devoured series Consumed releasing January 15, 2013. I can’t wait to get swept away in the rockstar world of Lucas and Sienna very soon. Emily Snow will be an author to keep your eyes on in this popular New Adult genre, for romance, lust, angst, and plenty of sexiness to come!!

Hold on while I fan myself. Okay so on a complete side note. I have a celebrity rocker that I have met in Las Vegas, my hometown, and also in Los Angeles, because I always seem to run into him at various awards shows I attend. So one time he was in my hometown for a perfume launch and after about 6 different times meeting him he spotted me and called me to the front of the line, doing his usual spill of giving me his fake name, and hotel information, and it finally occurred to me; he can have any beautiful model or celebrity he wants so why would he always want me. When I asked him how he always remembers me with all the other females throwing panties at him, he smirked and said "because you're the only one that's ever said NO to me." We'll on that note, when I read that line above I quoted in this book, I was instantly hooked. I mean not only is it believable, but its incredibly provocative to know that you're the only one that didn't succumb to temptation. That's why I adored Sienna for being strong and forcing sexy pot Lucas to get to know her before he got to know her body. Can you tell I have a soft spot for rockers? Well yes, bad boy rockers are my addiction. Hehe ;)

It looks like all her hard work is paying off, and to her surprise her best friend and roommate Jeremy a third year law student also having the opportunity to fill another internship spot. So what does your typical college student do when they are facing exciting news at the beginning if summer? Well they party at Club 21 the most high class club in Boston and only the best people get into this club. Not only are Jeremy and Mia allowed easy entrance to this club but they are VIP since Mr. McCullen (Jeremy’s father) an architect designed the club. I know that’s how I celebrated in college. I still do!

From the instant Marcus DeLuca shows up on the scene it’s as if a magnet was drawing him and Mia together, and they were dragging me along with them. Not that I’m complaining.

This is where the “crazy, stupid love� affair these two have begins, and I couldn’t put the book down once it began, and when I wasn’t reading Disastrous I was thinking about Disastrous Marcus.

He was delicious, powerful, charismatic and everything I enjoy in a book boyfriend. Marcus is an ubber successful attorney in Boston, and not only is he gorgeous and powerful, he’s the true meaning of Alpha-male. If you’re attracted to jealous, POSSESSIVE, passionate, rich, alpha, mouth watering aggressive men then Marcus DeLuca will be high on your lust list. But don’t let all these wonderfully appealing characteristics about Marcus fool you, he’s a man with secrets, and all of those will slowly unravel before your eyes and its a “disaster� when it’s revealed. I gasped when I confirmed his secret lifestyle even though I had suspected it.

“It’s not like me to be a jealous man, Mia. F-*k, I’m never jealous. Though for some reason, when you walked into the conference room with Jeremy’s arm around your waist and when he slapped your a$$, it took every part of me to not stand up and knock him the F-*k out.�

Mia Sullivan is a strong woman that I adored. She doesn’t lay down and accept bad behavior from men, well maybe a little but she holds her ground. When things get rough and plenty of females would stay in a bad situation, she walks away and protects her sanity, but the problem is that as tumultuous as Marcus and and Mia’s relationship is these two can’t stay away. Nor can they get their acts together!

“That pissed me the hell off. I took in a deep breath and blurted out everything without thinking twice. “F-*k you! You want to know who I am, Marcus. Well here it goes! I am temperamental, over-sensitive, and outspoken. I’m honest! I cry at stupid love movies, and I’m a sucker for a romantic novel. I don’t allow people to walk all over me, I have trust issues, and I have insecurities. I’ve slept with four men in my entire life! And the one thing I don’t do is take shit from men who try to act like they’re better than me as if they don’t have any hidden skeletons! I’m not keeping shit hidden, how ‘bout you? You can fuck off. I’ll find my own way home. Have a nice f-*king life!�

At this moment I was cheering Mia for standing up for herself, but I’m such a weak psycho when it comes to Marcus that I felt my chest get heavy here, and the lump in my throat began to form and I willed these two to make up, and the way these two make up is with glorious sex.

"I was gonna f-*k her!� Sprawling his hands in the air, he nodded at my stunned expression. “Yeah that’s right, hard too! But the entire time I was going to think of you!� Gawking at him, my heartbeat raised. “How f-*king romantic!�

Now I’m devastated once again for these two, and my heart is breaking for these two because sometimes its easier to hurt the one closer to you�.:( I’m sick, and slowly dying inside……but keep reading because Mia and Marcus are an unforgettable couple full of passion for one another. Cue the make-up sex…YES please!

“He reached over, placing the palm of his hand on top of mine. “You see, Mia, for a long time I haven’t had anything like that: honesty, innocence, and pureness. After seeing it through your eyes, I never wanted or needed it more in my life.�

Okay I’m happy and giddy once again for these two. E.L. Montes has such a descriptive way of writing delicious sex scenes, passionate love scenes, chaos, disastrous tumultuous relationships that are leaving me DYING for the second book Cautious to further explore their relationship.

Oh my the angst is unbearable at times, but this is one train wreck I’m so delighted I didn’t miss. One moment I was laughing, the next I was having heart palpitations, and the next I was either angry or cheering for these two. When these two were good they were outstanding!!! When they were bad, they were a Disastrous hurricane!!! For angst lovers like myself that crave the turbulent relationships in Crash, Beautiful Disaster, Fifty Shades of Grey, Bared To You, The Mighty Storm and The Opportunist will feel you’ve died and gone to Heaven with this gem. Disastrous was book crack at its finest!!!!

Now I’m counting the days until Cautious the sequel to Disastrous is released on May 23, 2012.

But don’t let all these wonderfully appealing characteristics about Marcus fool you, he’s a man with secrets, and all of those will slowly unravel before your eyes and its a “disaster� when it’s revealed. I gasped when I confirmed his secret lifestyle even though I had suspected it.

“It’s not like me to be a jealous man, Mia. F-*k, I’m never jealous. Though for some reason, when you walked into the conference room with Jeremy’s arm around your waist and when he slapped your a$$, it took every part of me to not stand up and knock him the F-*k out.�

Mia Sullivan is a strong woman that I adored. She doesn’t lay down and accept bad behavior from men, well maybe a little but she holds her ground. When things get rough and plenty of females would stay in a bad situation, she walks away and protects her sanity, but the problem is that as tumultuous as Marcus and and Mia’s relationship is these two can’t stay away. Nor can they get their acts together!

Okay I’m happy and giddy once again for these two. E.L. Montes has such a descriptive way of writing delicious sex scenes, passionate love scenes, chaos, disastrous tumultuous relationships that are leaving me DYING for the second book Cautious to further explore their relationship.

Oh my the angst is unbearable at times, but this is one train wreck I’m so delighted I didn’t miss. One moment I was laughing, the next I was having heart palpitations, and the next I was either angry or cheering for these two. When these two were good they were outstanding!!! When they were bad, they were a Disastrous hurricane!!! For angst lovers like myself that crave the turbulent relationships in Crash, Beautiful Disaster, Fifty Shades of Grey, Bared To You, The Mighty Storm and The Opportunist will feel you’ve died and gone to Heaven with this gem. Disastrous was book crack at its finest!!!!

Now I’m counting the days until Cautious the sequel to Disastrous is released on May 23, 2012.

3-3.5 stars review soon. I liked it. I wish the plot was a bit better, but the sex was great and I couldn't put it down, it was addicting. I see a lot of potential in the next book though.:)
