I feel in love with this book. At first I thought it would be another book full of random ghosts, gore and cliches but honestly it wasn't anything like that. The story is about a young girl who can see the dead and is placed in a mental hospital that's full of others like her and mystery. The way Kelly Armstrong slowly gave clues about what was really happing and and keep you in suspense was fantastic. The characters were understandable yet unique and out there. I was entirely sure about the paranormal part to the book but I ended up really enjoying the suspense and excitement of it. The romance was also great. Not gushing and over the top, just perfect with the right twists and turns. I loved the book and the series that follows, it's a definite must read!

This series/book I can honestly say is one of my favourites (and that's saying a lot) The character is a total bad ass. I loved her confidence and character, she managed to stay cold and deadly while being vulnerable and caring at the same time. The perfect walking contradictory. The whole book kept you on your toes and made you itching to read on. The sort of book that you would stay up all night to read.The plot was beautiful and while slightly violent, it was balanced out my the everything else happing in the story. I probably didn't do a fantastic job of explaining the awesomeness of this book, but I definitely recommend it!

I read this book when I was younger, but from what I remember of it I enjoyed it. The overall plot of the novel were great, there was some pieces that could have gone a bit faster. The events were intriguing and carried on fluently, they made you want to keep reading. The characters were great, I enjoyed the characteristics of the protagonist and her thoughts and how she was not like everyone else in her life. Overall I thought it was a good book for a rainy day.
