I always hate to finish an epic story because it is saying goodbye to characters to whom you have become attached, but I'm glad this is over. I did like the characters and the story but it is a dark story and even the fiction could leave me depressed with the reflection in reality. That has a valid place in literature, but it isn't a happy place.

This qualifies for Science Fiction with the creative ideas and made me think but this is not a story I will reread for some time. I’ve listened to the entire series on Audio Book and it was an excellent performance and presented well in that medium.
