I just wanted to add that Mockingbird is I think unique in literary history in that the book is a work of art and the film made of the book is equally a luminous work of art. The gentle man who wrote that movie, Horton Foote, changed my life. Just as Gregory Peck and Harper Lee maintained a warm friendship, so Horton Foote and Harper Lee remained close and respectful friends until his sad death in 2009. I
