I absolutely fell in love with this book. It did take me a bit longer than expected to get into it than expected but once I did I was hooked. The main reason why it took me so long to read was because I did get a cold while reading and was too tired to concentrate on anything. Plus I was binging Supernatural at the time of reading this plus there was Christmas. I love all of the characters in this book and can't wait to read more of Becky Albertalli's books. I absolutely loved all of the Harry Potter references used in this book. I can confidently say it is one of my favorites. I'll be definitely rereading this when I'm in the mood for a cutesy contemporary gay romance that is both fluffy and adorable.

I didn't really like it nor dislike it. It was just okay. It was really slow and boring except for the last 50 or so pages. I didn't like the world it was in. I couldn't really connect with the characters which was a bummer. It was a major let down compared to the first book in the series. The ending was not complete in my opinion. I will still be continuing on with this series.

I loved how it mentioned crocheting which is something I never see in books. It was nice seeing it since I'm a crocheter. Overall, Vannetta Chapman did a fantastic job in this strong concluding novel to the Amish Village trilogy. Everything got nicely wrapped as if with a bow.

Gabi, a Girl in Pieces 20702546
July 24

My mother named me Gabriella, after my grandmother who, coincidentally, didn't want to meet me when I was born because my mother was unmarried, and therefore living in sin. My mom has told me the story many, many, MANY, times of how, when she confessed to my grandmother that she was pregnant with me, her mother beat her. BEAT HER! She was twenty-five. That story is the basis of my sexual education and has reiterated why it's important to wait until you're married to give it up. So now, every time I go out with a guy, my mom says, "Ojos abiertos, piernas cerradas." Eyes open, legs closed. That's as far as the birds and the bees talk has gone. And I don't mind it. I don't necessarily agree with that whole wait until you're married crap, though. I mean, this is America and the 21st century; not Mexico one hundred years ago. But, of course, I can't tell my mom that because she will think I'm bad. Or worse: trying to be White.

Gabi is Isabel Quintero's debut novel.

I thought this book was okay. I really liked the main character and her two best friends. I thought that the mom was a huge hypocrite. At first I wasn't a huge fan of tĂa Bertha but in the end she redeemed herself. It felt as though the book was going through a check list for a teen drama show in a bad way. Now onto a more positive note, I really liked the diversity in this book and the zine that was included.

I had really high expectations for this book since I really loved and adored the first two in the series and that it is the concluding novel in the trilogy. I though it was pretty decent book overall. I felt like the beginning was too slow for my tastes and that the middle felt like fuller. I did really like the ending though at first I thought it was heading in a direction that I wouldn't like but then at the last minute it headed in a direction I was much happier with. I wish that it focused more on the peculiars we already knew instead of introducing new ones.

While I do really enjoy and love the Black Butler series this Volume just seemed to miss the mark for me. The only things I did like was that we were back in England and that the Emerald Witch arc has ended. I really did love Lizzie in this Volume. What I didn't like about this was that we didn't get introduced to a new arc. Plus there was this bonus chapter short story thing that didn't really add anything to the storyline for me. So sadly this Volume was MUCH shorter than the others in the series.

Going into this book I thought the highest rating I would be three stars. Since this book is a Christian novel and I'm not very religious. While this book was religious it was overly religious. Once I got passed the slow beginning I was hooked and couldn't put this book down. Even though there was romance in this book it did not over shadow the mystery at hand and was very realistic and well developed. In the end, I gave this book 5 stars because I loved it and it's now one of my favorites since I can see myself rereading this in the future. I can't wait to continue on with this series.

Everything, Everything 33931240
But then one day, a moving truck arrives. New next door neighbors. I look out the window, and I see him. He’s tall, lean and wearing all black—black t-shirt, black jeans, black sneakers and a black knit cap that covers his hair completely. He catches me looking and stares at me. I stare right back. His name is Olly. I want to learn everything about him, and I do. I learn that he is funny and fierce. I learn that his eyes are Atlantic Ocean-blue and that his vice is stealing silverware. I learn that when I talk to him, my whole world opens up, and I feel myself starting to change—starting to want things. To want out of my bubble. To want everything, everything the world has to offer.

Maybe we can’t predict the future, but we can predict some things. For example, I am certainly going to fall in love with Olly. It’s almost certainly going to be a disaster.]]>
