Me ha gustado bastante. Es cierto que esperaba algo parecido a El jardín de las mariposas y no fue así, por lo que al principio estaba algo decepcionada pero finalmente esta historia me ha ido conquistando poco a poco. Hay dos puntos negativos que quiero comentar antes de pasar a los positivos:

1. La trama la mayor parte del tiempo es muy lenta, se centra mucho en el día a día de Priya y no avanza mucho respecto la investigación. Únicamente al final empieza a haber más momentos de tensión pero dura también poquísimo, el conflicto principal cuando se descubre al asesino y pasa todo ocurre en unas 20 hojas y me pareció que no fue tan épico como nos hacen esperar en toda la novela.

2. El misterio. Pude adivinar quién era el asesino casi a mitad del libro, la autora no esconde los detalles tanto como debería. No me considero nada avispada en estas cosas pero se me hizo muy fácil averiguarlo, por lo que tengo que restarle puntuación al libro. No obstante, los motivos del asesino sí me sorprendieron bastante.

En puntos positivos tengo que destacar:
1. La escritura, igual que el anterior está muy bien escrito y consigue siempre muy buena ambientación

2. Los personajes, en serio que me hizo mucha ilusión volver a ver a Inara y a Bliss, la relación que tienen con el trío de Quántico me encanta. También Priya me ha gustado mucho y su cercanía con Eddison tratándose como familia me ha conmovido en más de una ocasión. Mención especial para los abuelos del ajedrez que son lo más adorable del mundo.

3. La forma de Priya de ver el duelo y la pérdida: se remarca mucho en el libro aspectos como que está bien no estar bien y que no le debemos nada a nadie y me parece algo muy importante y muy cierto. No hay un periodo de tiempo concreto para superar algo, puedes tardar lo que necesites y nadie tiene derecho a exigirte que dejes de estar triste.

Me encantó!!! Los dibujos son preciosos se lee en una tarde tranquilamente y la trama es súper adictiva, en serio adoro los libros sobre deporte casi tanto como odio hacer deporte jeje. Leeré los siguientes y espero hacerlo pronto, las escenas de esgrima fueron demasiado top.

Y bueno, prácticamente impotencia es la palabra que describe todo lo que sentí leyendo este libro, impotencia porque las chicas no tomaban la iniciativa y también por todas las páginas en que la historia no avanza solo porque no creen a Patricia. Literal, ella tenía todas las pruebas necesarias para cerrar el libro en 100 páginas menos y aún así, la tratan de loca, que coraje me dio esa parte de la historia.

Por otro lado, creo que el entramado de pistas que se van dejando para que la prota averigüe lo que está pasando es muy verosímil y creíble, se llevó a cabo muy bien y mereció la pena lo lento que se me hicieron algunas partes para que resultara todo realista. La parte final es lo mejor del libro, comienza todo a coger carrerilla y me gustó mucho la resolución de la historia.

Como puntos negativos:
-Ritmo muy lento, solo hay acción al final
-Se supone que es un libro de terror y ninguna escena me dio ni un poquito de miedo
-Los maridos, los odié con toda mi alma desde el principio hasta el final

No sé muy bien que nota ponerle, hasta bien pasada la mitad del libro me aburrió bastante y sentía que no llegaba la acción y no avanzaba nada la historia pero la verdad es que el tramo final me pareció muy bueno. Para ser sincera, creo que una de las principales razones de que no disfrutara tanto del libro fue por culpa de los comentarios de los maridos y la actitud sumisa de las mujeres; prácticamente ellos les decían que no podían hacer algo y ellas no lo hacían, como si necesitaran su permiso y vale, sé bien que en esa época así eran las cosas pero me da mucha impotencia leerlo y no lo disfruto para nada. Es increíble la cantidad de veces que ellos les dicen a las amas de casa que tienen mucho tiempo libre o que no tienen nada que hacer, desprestigiando todo lo que hacen y encima ellas les tienen que reír los chistes como si fueran graciosos o algo.

La historia trata de Lowen, una escritora que no está pasando su mejor época económicamente hasta que se le presenta una gran oportunidad: terminar de escribir los libros de una de las sagas más populares del momento, ya que su autora Verity ha tenido un accidente y no puede seguir escribiendo. Para ello, Lowen tiene que mudarse a la casa donde viven Verity, su marido Jeremy y su hijo Crow con el fin de consultar las notas que tenía hechas Verity para continuar con sus libros. Sin embargo, Lowen acaba encontrando una especie de diario muy oscuro escrito por la misma Verity e irá descubriendo cosas muy turbias acerca de la familia.

La novela es muy inmersiva, está narrada en primera persona desde el punto de vista de Lowen, además de los fragmentos de diario que eran capítulos en pasado narrados por Verity, que eran sin duda mis partes favoritas. Es todo tan intenso que no puedes parar de leer y llega un punto que lo único que quieres es poder averiguar la verdad sobre esa extraña familia. (Hay también un romance pero no merece mucho la pena mencionarlo, estuvo bien) El final es impactante y brillante, te deja con mal cuerpo y cuestionándote todo lo que has leído. En general me ha parecido muy buena historia, llena de secretos, revelaciones y giros, lo recomiendo mucho.

Me encantó la dinámica de estos dos, hay libros que se venden como enemies to lovers y no se ve para nada esa relación pero aquí si pude sentir esas vibes de enemies y que de verdad se caían realmente mal y preferirían hacer ese viaje con cualquier otra persona del mundo.

El cambio en su relación es progresivo y me pareció bastante realista, va surgiendo el amor poco a poco y de repente van teniendo mucha química y se va notando más la tensión que crece entre ellos. Es cierto que hay algunas situaciones en el libro que son algo ridículas y demasiadas casualidades pero no quiero ponerme tan exigente con el libro porque lo disfruté mucho y me pareció muy divertido y bonito.

No le pongo más puntuación porque hubo algunas cosas del final que no me convencieron nada, creo que se intentó alargar y hacer la historia más profunda de lo que en verdad era pero bueno, en términos generales es un romance muy bonito, con una trama bastante original y un buen ritmo. A mí me mantuvo picada en todo momento y me gustó mucho como esta parejita se va conociendo y enamorando.

Libro perfecto si estás en un bloqueo o quieres algo ligerito y ameno. Se trata de Olive, que se encuentra en la boda de su hermana gemela cuando de repente todos en el banquete empiezan a encontrarse mal por haber comido algo en mal estado y resulta ser un virus que los tendrá enfermos unas semanas. Los únicos que no enferman son, casualmente nuestra prota y el hermano del novio, Ethan (su cuñado) al que ella ODIA con toda su alma.
