330 Colleen Hoover Iman 1 Just wow !!!!

You have to give it to Colleen Hoover. She really knows how to write a good story. However, this book did feel a bit different from the others she has written before. As much as I love her and her books I was expecting a little more from the book. She wrote in an early post of hers that this was one of the most emotional books she has written. I'm not quite sure this is true .... I kept expecting all these surprising plot twists that never came. I expected it to end on a sad note. I expected everything but the obvious, but she went with obvious.

Don't get me wrong. She can turn a simple breakfast menu into the most phenomenal piece written language, her wording amazes me sometimes. The simplest action turned into something so much more beautiful than how we see it in our daily life. This is why I will forever read anything she writes. But I give this book 4 stars for all the rushed parts, all the things that went too fast and then too slow, for the things that deserved more time on these pages than she gave them, and for not giving us mmm ... about 100 pages more of Tate & Miles.

Pride and Prejudice 1885 Pride and Prejudice has remained one of the most popular novels in the English language. Jane Austen called this brilliant work "her own darling child" and its vivacious heroine, Elizabeth Bennet, "as delightful a creature as ever appeared in print." The romantic clash between the opinionated Elizabeth and her proud beau, Mr. Darcy, is a splendid performance of civilized sparring. And Jane Austen's radiant wit sparkles as her characters dance a delicate quadrille of flirtation and intrigue, making this book the most superb comedy of manners of Regency England.

A secret society of so called “Legendborn students that hunt the creatures down.

And a mysterious teenage mage who calls himself a “Merlin and who attempts—and fails—to wipe Bree’s memory of everything she saw.

The mage’s failure unlocks Bree’s own unique magic and a buried memory with a hidden connection: the night her mother died, another Merlin was at the hospital. Now that Bree knows there’s more to her mother’s death than what’s on the police report, she’ll do whatever it takes to find out the truth, even if that means infiltrating the Legendborn as one of their initiates.

She recruits Nick, a self-exiled Legendborn with his own grudge against the group, and their reluctant partnership pulls them deeper into the society’s secrets—and closer to each other. But when the Legendborn reveal themselves as the descendants of King Arthur’s knights and explain that a magical war is coming, Bree has to decide how far she’ll go for the truth and whether she should use her magic to take the society down—or join the fight.]]>

A recovering addict finds herself to blame after waking in a dark forest beside her best friend’s dead body. Sophie’s accused of using again and putting her friend in danger by going to meet her dealer. She is shipped off to rehab and upon her release no one wants to talk to her and none would believe her story; she was clean and It was Mina (her friend) who drove them out to where they were attacked. Sophie’s determined to find Mina’s killer and refuses to let him go free.

The story is raw and emotional, filled with mystery and complicated romances. It is told by Sophie’s POV, alternating between before and after the attack. We get to read about a life that has been filled with accidents and tragedies. We get to understand the factors that made her into the person she is. And we get to see the pure love that connects Sophie and Mina and that has always been more than just friendly love. What I appreciated about their relationship is that it was real, understanding and unconditional. The sexuality wasn’t the main focus in their relationship, love was. And it all added to the complexity of the love triangle (or love square) in this book. I have never read anything as messy and as touching as this love triangle.

At the beginning Sophie’s determination to solve the mystery gave it a little Veronica Mars vibe that I LOVED. And through the whole read I was too emotionally engrossed to start thinking up theories. I couldn’t guess who the killer was. But by the end I was just so shocked I literally gasped so loud I was afraid I had woken somebody up. No one did. But I was still shaking from it all.

It took me a day to rip through these pages and most likely will be on my top reads of 2014.]]>

As you read it you catch yourself making mental notes, character growth (check), funny dialogue (check), plot twist (check) ... , we go through the list and realize it hits all the marks. And when we are done we are left with the pleasure of reading that book. But then on a rare occasion you pick up that one book that no matter what list you have made up in your head that determines what makes a book great or not, it just exceeds all prior expectations. This was that kind of book. From the get go I was hooked, I couldn't put it down. No sleep, no rest, I had to get to the end.

Maybe that was always beside the point.

Two days before they’re supposed to visit Neal’s family in Omaha for Christmas, Georgie tells Neal that she can’t go. She’s a TV writer, and something’s come up on her show; she has to stay in Los Angeles. She knows that Neal will be upset with her Neal is always a little upset with Georgie but she doesn't expect him to pack up the kids and go home without her.

When her husband and the kids leave for the airport, Georgie wonders if she’s finally done it. If she’s ruined everything.

That night, Georgie discovers a way to communicate with Neal in the past. It’s not time travel, not exactly, but she feels like she’s been given an opportunity to fix her marriage before it starts...

Is that what she’s supposed to do?

Or would Georgie and Neal be better off if their marriage never happened?]]>

Animal Farm 7613
The book tells the story of a group of farm animals who rebel against their human farmer, hoping to create a society where the animals can be equal, free, and happy. Ultimately, however, the rebellion is betrayed, and the farm ends up in a state as bad as it was before, under the dictatorship of a pig named Napoleon.

One night, all the animals at Mr. Jones' Manor Farm assemble in a barn to hear old Major, a pig, describe a dream he had about a world where all animals live free from the tyranny of their human masters. Old Major dies soon after the meeting, but the animals inspired by his philosophy of Animalism plot a rebellion against Jones.

Two pigs, Snowball and Napoleon, prove themselves important figures and planners of this dangerous enterprise. When Jones forgets to feed the animals, the revolution occurs, and Jones and his men are chased off the farm. Manor Farm is renamed Animal Farm, and the Seven Commandments of Animalism are painted on the barn wall...]]>

The Ghost Bride 16248223 A startlingly original voice makes her literary debut with this wondrous coming-of-age story infused with Chinese folklore, romantic intrigue, adventure, and fascinating, dreamlike twists.

'One evening, my father asked me whether I would like to become a ghost bride...'

Though ruled by British overlords, the Chinese of colonial Malaya still cling to ancient customs. And in the sleepy port town of Malacca, ghosts and superstitions abound.

Li Lan, the daughter of a genteel but bankrupt family, has few prospects. But fate intervenes when she receives an unusual proposal from the wealthy and powerful Lim family. They want her to become a ghost bride for the family's only son, who recently died under mysterious circumstances. Rarely practiced, traditional ghost marriages are used to placate restless spirits. Such a union would guarantee Li Lan a home for the rest of her days, but at a terrible price.

After an ominous visit to the opulent Lim mansion, Li Lan finds herself haunted not only by her ghostly would-be suitor, but also by her desire for the Lims' handsome new heir, Tian Bai. Night after night, she is drawn into the shadowy parallel world of the Chinese afterlife, with its ghost cities, paper funeral offerings, vengeful spirits, and monstrous bureaucracy—including the mysterious Er Lang, a charming but unpredictable guardian spirit. Li Lan must uncover the Lim family's darkest secrets—and the truth about her own family—before she is trapped in this ghostly world forever.]]>

When we moved to West Virginia right before my senior year, I’d pretty much resigned myself to thick accents, dodgy internet access, and a whole lot of boring until I spotted my hot neighbor, with his looming height and eerie green eyes. Things were looking up.

And then he opened his mouth.

Daemon is infuriating. Arrogant. Stab-worthy. We do not get along. At all. But when a stranger attacks me and Daemon literally freezes time with a wave of his hand, well, something unexpected happens.

The hot alien living next door marks me.

You heard me. Alien. Turns out Daemon and his sister have a galaxy of enemies wanting to steal their abilities, and Daemon’s touch has me lit up like the Vegas Strip. The only way I’m getting out of this alive is by sticking close to Daemon until my alien mojo fades.

If I don’t kill him first, that is.]]>

Reading all four books released, I have to say this one is probably my favorite. The plot is diverse. You get the action filled drama and the great chemistry of Daemon and Katy. I think I liked them better in this book just because they were basically fighting the whole time and at each others throats. Everything flying out of their mouths was witty and humorous. Definitely one of the best book chemistry ever. It was an exciting read and I loved it !

Daemon will do anything to get Katy back.

After the successful but disastrous raid on Mount Weather, he’s facing the impossible. Katy is gone. Taken. Everything becomes about finding her. Taking out anyone who stands in his way? Done. Burning down the whole world to save her? Gladly. Exposing his alien race to the world? With pleasure.

All Katy can do is survive.

Surrounded by enemies, the only way she can come out of this is to adapt. After all, there are sides of Daedalus that don’t seem entirely crazy, but the group’s goals are frightening and the truths they speak even more disturbing. Who are the real bad guys? Daedalus? Mankind? Or the Luxen?

Together, they can face anything.

But the most dangerous foe has been there all along, and when the truths are exposed and the lies come crumbling down, which side will Daemon and Katy be standing on?

And will they even be together?]]>
374 Jennifer L. Armentrout Iman 4 Ugh that ending ....
Those last 50 pages sure changed a lot !!
With all the action and baby/marriage talk going around it would most positively get your eyes speeding through the pages.

I think so far the whole series' plot was just OK for me, but this ending is making me itch for the next book. The plot finally thickens and we get to see more action play out, we lose some good people in the mix and meet a whole new kind, and most devastatingly a betrayal is revealed (I was waiting for it since book one, but it didn't make it less sad).

I was extremely excited about the two POVs. Both voices different and distinguishable, and definitely true to the character we had gotten to know and love in the past three books. I was so happy being inside of Daemons head, it was very fun. He is never boring with his witty remarks.

Opal (Lux, #3) 13362536 No one is like Daemon Black.

When he set out to prove his feelings for me, he wasn’t fooling around. Doubting him isn’t something I’ll do again, and now that we’ve made it through the rough patches, well There’s a lot of spontaneous combustion going on.

But even he can’t protect his family from the danger of trying to free those they love.

After everything, I’m no longer the same Katy. I’m different And I’m not sure what that will mean in the end. When each step we take in discovering the truth puts us in the path of the secret organization responsible for torturing and testing hybrids, the more I realize there is no end to what I’m capable. The death of someone close still lingers, help comes from the most unlikely source, and friends will become the deadliest of enemies, but we won’t turn back. Onyx (Lux, #2) 13047090 BEING CONNECTED TO DAEMON BLACK SUCKS

Thanks to his alien mojo, Daemon’s determined to prove what he feels for me is more than a product of our bizarro connection. So I’ve sworn him off, even though he’s running more hot than cold these days. But we’ve got bigger problems.

SOMETHING WORSE THAN ARUM HAS COME TO TOWN

The Department of Defense is here. If they ever find out what Daemon can do and that we’re linked, I’m a goner. So is he. And there’s this new boy in school who’s got a secret of his own. He knows what’s happened to me and he can help, but to do so, I have to lie to Daemon and stay away from him. Like that’s possible. Against all common sense, I’m falling for Daemon. Hard.

BUT THEN, EVERYTHING CHANGES

I’ve seen someone who shouldn’t be alive. And I have to tell Daemon, even though I know he’s never going to stop searching until he gets the truth. What happened to his brother? Who betrayed him? And what does the DOD want from them—from me?

The writing style is amazing. I loved the characters and I hated them all at one point or another. You believe the authenticity of them all and you are able to understand what has driven each one to make those choices. I really truly hated Casey -Molly's BFF- throughout 70% of the book. I was the whole time screaming in my head "You jealous B****. You're gonna be the end of them!". I just felt like Molly didn't believe in herself and the happiness she deserved, so she allowed her friend to mess with her head. It upset me so much. Friendship between girls is always a sensitive matter. The love and understanding but at the same time there is some underlining of hate and jealousy. And those friendships are always dangerous. So it made their friendship relative and real and all the more interesting to follow.

Of course Rayan ... oh my, Rayray; A woman's dream come true. The unconditional love. His strong belief in where his heart lies and his perseverance. The perfect man for molly, the man she needs but definitely not the man she wants. Their relationship spoke to me loud and clear. I felt so connected to it. Molly was a tough woman and she never imagined herself being loved. So, it was delightful to see how she grew and changed over the course of the book. I think her growth is what ppl can relate to the most in this book. Not the friendships she has, or the relationship with Rayan. It is her ability to finally make piece with the world she was brought up in, to allow herself to be loved by everyone in her life and not shut herself out of their lives. I think many of us can share her insecurities and have had loves that made us realize how much love surrounds us and we are always indebted to those loves. She was just lucky that it turned out that love was one of her forevers.

One of my many favorite quotes:
"But I was always burdened by the feeling that this kind of sudden, intense relationship wasn’t meant to happen to a girl like me. I just didn’t believe I deserved it". ]]>

4.5 v.bright stars !!!! I have soooo much to say about this book. But sometimes when something is this wonderful and so splendid you can't put it in words and give it justice. I am afraid of not expressing how much I truly loved it. What was great about reading this book was the character development. I got to read about each and every character in depth. The time span in the book is vast and it allows the story to pile on bit by bit so beautifully. I loved the time frames; jumping from different points in their lives. The before and afters of crucial events, the now, and the kisses. And oh my lord, those kisses' stories were so sweet, and to the end when I understood where they were coming from and why they were written I burst into tears. Shear beauty. They all gave way to this gradual coloring of a masterpiece. It kept me reading and on edge wishing I could read a bazillion words per minute. I just wanted more. I still want more. And I want more of Ali Harris style.

COME ON. I DON'T WANT TO WAIT 5 MONTHS !!

First of all, if I could give this more than 5 stars I would have. This book was just so much better than the first. The multiple story lines made it more exciting. There was more things going on which just added to the suspense. I was At parts yelling out loud, though Scarlet strangled her yells with gritted teeth and Cinder muffling her screams with her metal arm, I just let them out. OH MY LORD ! And it got a little gruesome at parts didn't it. Those wolves are nasty.

I feel like the first book compared to the second book is a little weak. But it did set it up for an amazing second book. But talk about a great team, I loved Cinders and Captain Thornes chemistry together.

Anyone else fell in love with Captain Thorne ?? He is amazing and he knows it, which makes it so much better.

The Help 4667024
Twenty-two-year-old Skeeter has just returned home after graduating from Ole Miss. She may have a degree, but it is 1962, Mississippi, and her mother will not be happy till Skeeter has a ring on her finger. Skeeter would normally find solace with her beloved maid Constantine, the woman who raised her, but Constantine has disappeared and no one will tell Skeeter where she has gone.

Aibileen is a black maid, a wise, regal woman raising her seventeenth white child. Something has shifted inside her after the loss of her own son, who died while his bosses looked the other way. She is devoted to the little girl she looks after, though she knows both their hearts may be broken.

Minny, Aibileen's best friend, is short, fat, and perhaps the sassiest woman in Mississippi. She can cook like nobody's business, but she can't mind her tongue, so she's lost yet another job. Minny finally finds a position working for someone too new to town to know her reputation. But her new boss has secrets of her own.

Seemingly as different from one another as can be, these women will nonetheless come together for a clandestine project that will put them all at risk. And why? Because they are suffocating within the lines that define their town and their times. And sometimes lines are made to be crossed.

In pitch-perfect voices, Kathryn Stockett creates three extraordinary women whose determination to start a movement of their own forever changes a town, and the way women, mothers, daughters, caregivers, friends, view one another. A deeply moving novel filled with poignancy, humor, and hope, The Help is a timeless and universal story about the lines we abide by, and the ones we don't.

Before I Fall 6482837 New York Times bestselling author Lauren Oliver emerged as one of today's foremost authors of young adult fiction. Like Jay Asher's Thirteen Reasons Why and Gayle Forman's If I Stay, Before I Fall raises thought-provoking questions about love, death, and how one person's life can affect so many others.

For popular high school senior Samantha Kingston, February 12"Cupid Day"—should be one big party, a day of valentines and roses and the privileges that come with being at the top of the social pyramid. And it is…until she dies in a terrible accident that night.

However, she still wakes up the next morning. In fact, Sam lives the last day of her life seven times, until she realizes that by making even the slightest changes, she may hold more power than she ever imagined.

Named to numerous state reading lists, this novel was also recognized as a Best Book of the Year by Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble, The Daily Beast, NPR, and Publishers Weekly. It has been optioned for film by Fox 2000 Pictures.

I really can't get over the way this book ended.

I loved every single character in this book. From the (insert offensive word here) Rob, to the sweet and gentle Kent. I loved loved loved the obnoxious trio and of course the main character. I loved how true their persona's were translated from the written word into believable teenage girls. I loved how crud they were sometimes. They were carefree and it was pleasant to read, instead of the typical self doubting teenagers that fill many of YA books.

So, Sam is trapped in a day on repeat, unsure what to do to escape. She begins to test all the possibilities that could be played out in a one day time period. She uses it to learn more about the people around her. She learns a few secrets and gets to know many of the outcasts she usually bullied along with her friends. She learns a few important life lessons, but would that help her live her life or just send her to her own ending ...
But sometimes no matter how many times we get to do life over, somethings are inevitable.

I loved how daring Sammy was. I thought she was a fun character to read. Sometimes we all need to let out some of our mean side and this read was great for that. ]]>

<![CDATA[Roar and Liv (Under the Never Sky, #0.5)]]> 15754052 Before Perry and Aria, there was Roar and Liv.

After a childhood spent wandering the borderlands, Roar finally feels like he has a home with the Tides. His best friend Perry is like a brother to him, and Perry's sister, Liv, is the love of his life. But Perry and Liv's unpredictable older brother, Vale, is the Blood Lord of the Tides, and he has never looked kindly on Roar and Liv's union. Normally, Roar couldn't care less about Vale's opinion. But with food running low and conditions worsening every day, Vale's leadership is more vital—and more brutal—than ever. Desperate to protect his tribe, Vale makes a decision that will shatter the life Roar knew and change the fate of the Tides forever.

Set in the harsh but often beautiful world of Veronica Rossi's "unforgettable" Under the Never Sky (Examiner.com), this captivating prequel novella stands on its own for new readers and offers series fans a fascinating look into the character of Roar. Poignant and powerful, Roar and Liv is a love story that will "capture your imagination and your heart." (Justine on Under the Never Sky)]]>

The Sea of Tranquility 16151178 I live in a world without magic or miracles. A place where there are no clairvoyants or shapeshifters, no angels or superhuman boys to save you. A place where people die and music disintegrates and things suck. I am pressed so hard against the earth by the weight of reality that some days I wonder how I am still able to lift my feet to walk.

Former piano prodigy Nastya Kashnikov wants two things: to get through high school without anyone learning about her past and to make the boy who took everything from her—her identity, her spirit, her will to live—pay.

Josh Bennett’s story is no secret: every person he loves has been taken from his life until, at seventeen years old, there is no one left. Now all he wants is be left alone and people allow it because when your name is synonymous with death, everyone tends to give you your space.

Everyone except Nastya, the mysterious new girl at school who starts showing up and won’t go away until she’s insinuated herself into every aspect of his life. But the more he gets to know her, the more of an enigma she becomes. As their relationship intensifies and the unanswered questions begin to pile up, he starts to wonder if he will ever learn the secrets she’s been hiding—or if he even wants to.

The Sea of Tranquility is a rich, intense, and brilliantly imagined story about a lonely boy, an emotionally fragile girl, and the miracle of second chances.]]>

But as the book progresses and some secrets are exposed you realize it isn't the writer who is filling these pages with words to prolong the story but is actually the characters avoiding their realities.
Everything starts as a jumbled mess and finally clicks together it makes you so eager to keep reading, and this keeps true to the main character shattered life and their attempts to paste the pieces together and finally they do click.

Fangirl 16068905 A coming-of-age tale of fanfiction, family, and first love.

Cath is a Simon Snow fan. Okay, the whole world is a Simon Snow fan.... But for Cath, being a fan is her life—and she's really good at it. She and her twin, Wren, ensconced themselves in the Simon Snow series when they were just kids; it's what got them through their mother leaving.

Reading. Rereading. Hanging out in Simon Snow forums, writing Simon Snow fanfiction, dressing up like the characters for every movie premiere. Cath's sister has mostly grown away from fandom, but Cath can't let go. She doesn't want to.

Now that they're going to college, Wren has told Cath she doesn't want to be roommates. Cath is on her own, completely outside of her comfort zone. She's got a surly roommate with a charming, always-around boyfriend; a fiction-writing professor who thinks fanfiction is the end of the civilized world; a handsome classmate who only wants to talk about words... and she can't stop worrying about her dad, who's loving and fragile and has never really been alone.

For Cath, the question is: Can she do this? Can she make it without Wren holding her hand? Is she ready to start living her own life? And does she even want to move on if it means leaving Simon Snow behind?]]>
483 Rainbow Rowell Iman 4 4.5 rating .... can't get over the ending. AMAZING
In love with Rainbow Rowell's writing.

The tthing about Rainbow Rowell's books are that they are realistic. You easily relate to the characters. There isn't deceit, you can rely on her telling you sth real and truthful. You know that every character you read might be someone you've met, someone you know. It makes it much more readable.

I think parts in the storyline wasn't as great as I was expecting. There were too many loose ends. But that actually added to the magic. I just wandered how Cather ended her fanfiction version of Simon Snow. So many questions .... It just makes you want to reread it again and again, hoping it will help you decide how it should end. If it ever ends ....

“What about Agatha? Simon asked when the moment had passed, when their hands dropped again to their sides.
Baz grinned and started walking up the steep hill to the castle.
“Don’t be a fool, Snow. I’m never giving up on Agatha.

Beth Fremont and Jennifer Scribner-Snyder know that somebody is monitoring their work e-mail. (Everybody in the newsroom knows. It's company policy.) But they can't quite bring themselves to take it seriously. They go on sending each other endless and endlessly hilarious e-mails, discussing every aspect of their personal lives.

Meanwhile, Lincoln O'Neill can't believe this is his job now—reading other people's e-mail. When he applied to be "internet security officer," he pictured himself building firewalls and crushing hackers—not writing up a report every time a sports reporter forwards a dirty joke.

When Lincoln comes across Beth's and Jennifer's messages, he knows he should turn them in. But he can't help being entertained—and captivated—by their stories.

By the time Lincoln realizes he's falling for Beth, it's way too late to introduce himself.

What would he say . . . ?]]>
323 Rainbow Rowell Iman 5 5.5 !!!!!!!! Rainbow Rowell has outdone herself. Her writing is the most heart felt and magnificent by far. I have never been moved by a book as much as I have been by this. Dispite it simplicity and slow pace you come to find the style most alluring and breath taking. This book must at one point be adapted into a movie. It is exactly like watching 'You've got mail' or 'Never been kissed' a movie you'd watch over and over agian knowing the beginning, the ending and everything between but are every time being overwhelmed by the sheer beauty of it all.
I have to say Rainbow Rowell is my favorite Contamporary author. Nothing she would write would change how I feel about her writing.

It is always an amazing book that you read that would provide its own background music, "The rocky Mountain High", The Sundays' "Here's Where The Story Ends", and more .... It all fits in with the characters personalities and makes it feel whole.

This book takes it slow, pulling you to a quiet place. It fools you with the calm and delightful daily messages between Beth and Jessica. We read along with Lincoln, waiting ... you get invited into their everyday chatter and into their personal relationships. With Lincoln you slowly fall in love with them all. Dealing with the heartbreak of his first love, Lincoln finally learns how to grow up and move on. And watch him find himself able again to love and care for someone new. But to his misfortune this woman isn't someone in his reach.

So what did I think about this book? It was really good. A story about young girl insecurities, body image and self worth. The book is about what this word 'Duff' means and how it can affect a person. In the end every girl/woman at one point or another does feel as if she is the Duff in her group, and usually deals with the expression by isolating herself and doubting herself. But the book turns that word around and transforms from an insult that it is into sth that bonds the main character and her friends.

I really like the characters, the group dynamic of Bianca, Casey & Jessica and how they loved each other unconditionally. The book was a great read I picked it up late at night and didn't want to put it down until I was done. The sun came out and I was still reading it.

Not exactly what I'd expected when reading the title. I thought I was in for a light read, sth fun or funny at the least; given the cynical title. However, this glum piece of art turns the few short pages of the book into a ever growing understanding of truths hidden in your own personal being. The first hundred pages were a little too slow for my taste. It went through the typical daily life of both main characters in the Republic. The narrative switched from June to Day through out the book and I just loved that. It gave you a glimpse in both lifestyles and brought forward more and more questions. It made it much more exciting.

At one point I started to question when would they discover that both of their own stories don't line up and that someone has been lying. I think June was a bit too slow. I thought she would at least ask Day about the details of the accident the minute she could. But on the other hand I think he was way too fast in realizing the truth behind all the numbers he kept seeing, it made it a little unbelievable.

A Cinderella retelling set in the future in New Beijing, in a world filled with cyborgs, androids and a war threat from the queen of Lunar, an advanced human settlement on the moon. Cinder is a teenage cyborg (or maybe more) that finds her simple life turned upside down after one of her stepsisters catches the plague. The book is really amazing, filled with exciting twists and turns, at one point you might forget this is a Cinderella retelling. The story keeps building and the thrill keeps escalating. But then as she finally decides to attend the ball, here I felt it all went south for me. Everything went too fast. The whole thing just felt just a bit too messy. Some of Marissa Meyer's choices as to what happened at the ball just put me off and made me question the whole ending. However, over all the book was really good and a great read.

I think this book would be an amazing movie. The whole way through I just kept visualizing it as a movie. The setting is amazing for a movie and Cinder is just such a kick butt character she would be perfect for a movie.

CRAZY !!!! All I can say about the second book is Veronica Roth went CRAZY !! Just as exciting but very different from the brave selfless girl to a desperate one that is nearly suicidal in every action she takes. The book is full of distrust and betrayal. Most will be shocking ... some a feel coming.

<![CDATA[Mockingjay (The Hunger Games, #3)]]> 7260188 My name is Katniss Everdeen.
Why am I not dead?
I should be dead.

Katniss Everdeen, girl on fire, has survived, even though her home has been destroyed. Gale has escaped. Katniss's family is safe. Peeta has been captured by the Capitol. District 13 really does exist. There are rebels. There are new leaders. A revolution is unfolding.

It is by design that Katniss was rescued from the arena in the cruel and haunting Quarter Quell, and it is by design that she has long been part of the revolution without knowing it. District 13 has come out of the shadows and is plotting to overthrow the Capitol. Everyone, it seems, has had a hand in the carefully laid plans—except Katniss.

The success of the rebellion hinges on Katniss's willingness to be a pawn, to accept responsibility for countless lives, and to change the course of the future of Panem. To do this, she must put aside her feelings of anger and distrust. She must become the rebels' Mockingjay—no matter what the personal cost.]]>

As well as, the fact that the storyline at many points build up to these amazing magnificent events and then nothing, the writer falls short on describing them. We go from her magnificent ability to redraw day to day events that is performed by Katniss, to a patched up description of the battlefield. That completely baffles me.

Another thing, that bugs me the most, is the ending. How easily it was put with no great discovery of when Katniss had finally realized who she wanted, who she chose. It is just .... BLAH. I know if the book was the way I imagined it, full of detailed narrative of every single act performed by Katniss, it would be another hundred pages longer at the least. But isn't being consistent with the flow of events and satisfying the readers want of justification a normal thing ? I would have loved to read it as long as it would have been, if only it left me satisfied at the end. Not jump from event to event not really knowing what happened.

I would give this trilogy a hundred stars if I can; but this book was a little too harsh that I must give it a star less then the two before. I must sound so consumed by the book to have this much to rant about ..... but yes I was. It is an amazing book in spite of all the heartbreaking deaths.

I'd never read it ever again ...]]>

I would have to say this book is the worst and the best of the trilogy. Somewhere along the way you find yourself too emotionally involved and engrossed that even when many horrible events occurs and you need to take a breath to take it all in, you can't stop and you need to read more. Reading about these characters to eventually let them go is really hard, especially when the writer doesn't give their deaths justice. I won't mention who I mean in case of any spoilers. But after 2 or 3 books getting familiar with them it is too painful to let them go. Some deaths at the end are justified and you come to terms with it but others you just find yourself screaming "WHY?".

Winning means fame and fortune. Losing means certain death. The Hunger Games have begun. . . .

In the ruins of a place once known as North America lies the nation of Panem, a shining Capitol surrounded by twelve outlying districts. The Capitol is harsh and cruel and keeps the districts in line by forcing them all to send one boy and one girl between the ages of twelve and eighteen to participate in the annual Hunger Games, a fight to the death on live TV.

Sixteen-year-old Katniss Everdeen regards it as a death sentence when she steps forward to take her sister's place in the Games. But Katniss has been close to dead before-and survival, for her, is second nature. Without really meaning to, she becomes a contender. But if she is to win, she will have to start making choices that weigh survival against humanity and life against love.]]>

Wuthering Heights 6185 You can find the redesigned cover of this edition HERE.

At the centre of this novel is the passionate love between Catherine Earnshaw and Heathcliff - recounted with such emotional intensity that a plain tale of the Yorkshire moors acquires the depth and simplicity of ancient tragedy.

This best-selling Norton Critical Edition is based on the 1847 first edition of the novel. For the Fourth Edition, the editor has collated the 1847 text with several modern editions and has corrected a number of variants, including accidentals. The text is accompanied by entirely new explanatory annotations.

New to the fourth Edition are twelve of Emily Bronte's letters regarding the publication of the 1847 edition of Wuthering Heights as well as the evolution of the 1850 edition, prose and poetry selections by the author, four reviews of the novel, and poetry selections by the author, four reviews of the novel, and Edward Chitham's insightful and informative chronology of the creative process behind the beloved work.

Five major critical interpretations of Wuthering Heights are included, three of them new to the Fourth Edition. A Stuart Daley considers the importance of chronology in the novel. J. Hillis Miller examines Wuthering Heights's problems of genre and critical reputation. Sandra M. Gilbert assesses the role of Victorian Christianity plays in the novel, while Martha Nussbaum traces the novel's romanticism. Finally, Lin Haire-Sargeant scrutinizes the role of Heathcliff in film adaptations of Wuthering Heights.

A Chronology and updated Selected Bibliography are also included.]]>
