And whilst we are about it, and we have touched on this before: Where would you like to read, which maybe slightly different from where you do read both in location and position.

My favorite place to read is under a tree in the sun.
That being impossible, my next favorite place is in bed.
Tunnel vision infers a narrowing of focus, which occers but because of the peculiar nature of the book,which acts as a lens, or a doorway, there is a refraction and a widening of focus to allow the world of the book to unfold, allowing the reader to step in to the opening the writer gives us. Woouln't you agree?

right now I am experiencing some kind of technological lust/envy for a device that would let me keep up with this experiment while I carry on with the day here,
(not too mention the more usual envy of lolling in les Jardins in the south of France) but there it is, I have to get to work. Will check back with interest to see what/how the mix evolves.

It's hard to read in the direct sunlight, as you say, but if you can find shade that still gives you good light from the sky, it's really wonderful!!
