"i’ve never read anything by this author before and i’m glad i gave this a chance since i also love stories about unhinged women. however, this didn’t work for me unfortunately.

the characters weren’t memorable. the fmc was at times questionable, but i thought she was gonna be way more unhinged than she was. it took a long time for her to actually act on her evilness.
i didn’t manage to connect with any of the characters though and i’m sure i’ll forget about them by the end of the week... they were quite forgettable.

the writing style also wasn’t my favourite. it was confusing at times and it went over my head a lot. i did like the named chapters though!

the plot also was quite jarring. some things didn’t make sense and there were plot holes too which were unexplained. i was quite bored throughout, too. it wasn’t as engaging as i thought it was gonna be. i did like the ending, i think that was definitely the best part of the book.
sadly, i can’t quite recommend it for anyone, but i’ve seen a lot of people on goodreads enjoyed it, so maybe i’m in the minority who didn’t quite like this."
