Luffy getting stuck in the ground and then throw into the sea just unnecessary dragged this story out. I hope this doesn't become a trend that they have to stall for time before shows up to save the day Luffy, already seen that done several times with Dragon Ball. ]]>

didn't like how Nami and Luffy were in this volume, which is why it's a 3 instead of a 5.

Nami still acting like a bad guy who doesn't care about Luffy and the others even though she helped save and free Zolo and Usopp! Even stabbing herself to make it look like she really did stab him!

But Luffy was worse, in my opinion, he walks away before Nojiko gives Nami's backstory by saying "I don't care, I'm not interested in her past."
maybe not Luffy but maybe it would make you be able to help your "friend" if you knew what's up!
Especially when later on Nami gets really upset and angry and pushes Luffy over telling him to get lost and his response is "what's her problem?"
Well if you'd listened to the Nojiko's story you would know exactly what the problem was!!

Also the part were she does ask Luffy for help would have had a waaaay bigger impact if Luffy had listened. Because Nojiko ends the story by saying "Ever since that day 8 years ago no one has seen Nami shed a tear. And She's never asked anyone for help!!!"
Luffy doesn't know how much of an impact it is that Nami is crying and actually reaching out for help.

I really don't get why Luffy had to walk away anyway, because it's not like he actually did anything really relevant to the story by doing so and as I already stated it would have had a better impact if he had. ]]>
