I need to state that I did finish the book. I didn't like it from the beginning when the detective used "they-them" for pronouns for the dead woman. That was weird and "telling" for the rest of the story. Using such outdated politically correct jargon is ridiculous and will not stand the test of time. Also, the detective Morgan Brookes keeps relying on her aunt and her crystals to give her hints about the assailant. It went downhill from there.
