I always love reading Nicci French's books. This one did not disappoint. It was a very unusual concept. Three women are being watched. One by one they are killed. Will the detectives and the third woman figure out what is going on in time to stop him? Good read. ]]>

The housemaid position seems perfect. Who wouldn't want to work in such a beautiful setting. But something is off. Something is VERY off. She doesn't want to reveal who she really is, but could such a secret make the house's occupants even more dangerous? ]]>

This was a great read. I really love the detective in this series. The unique deaths seem very unrelated, but DS Tomek figures it out. ]]>

This is a great character, damaged but not too damaged. The mysterious dead man who may or may not be dead, it's a great story. The ending was excellent. ]]>

A great set-up to a good story. Was he or wasn't he pushed? I found the writing difficult to follow at times, the story was good. ]]>

I enjoyed the book. I found it believable. The fact that a non-verbal autistic girl muttered names on a list is possible, I suppose. I liked the characters. I found the ending very satisfying. ]]>

I really do like this historical fiction and Inspector Ryga is a good character. This story does not disappoint. I love revisiting these characters from previous novels. Great one! ]]>

While I loved the writing and the characters, there was a big jarring disconnect over how the girls were found. I could not suspend my disbelief for it. I did like the investigation after that. This truly was a bizarre case. ]]>

I need to state that I did finish the book. I didn't like it from the beginning when the detective used "they-them" for pronouns for the dead woman. That was weird and "telling" for the rest of the story. Using such outdated politically correct jargon is ridiculous and will not stand the test of time. Also, the detective Morgan Brookes keeps relying on her aunt and her crystals to give her hints about the assailant. It went downhill from there. Worst book of the year award. ]]>

I really enjoyed this book. I found it absolutely plausible that a person could discover a pattern in attacks. Dr. Hamlet Mottrell is a likeable character. Good story. ]]>
