I would read a whole book about Cleo, Sabrina and Harriet. The love between these friends was so heart warming that it made me want to race through the romance parts of the book. I was looking for a comfort read and this definitely hit the spot. I understand the appeal of Emily Henry, but it's not literary fiction enough for me, this definitely felt more fairy tale-esque than a genuine love story. There are gripes I have with decisions made by certain characters as well as the major reason for the conflict in the story and hence the 3 star rating, but overall a very cozy comfy read.

I found the writing very indulgent and preachy. The first two acts felt dragged out and slow and then suddenly everything wrapped up very nicely in the third act. It made the book feel super imbalanced repetitive and dragged out. Both main characters, Imogene and Harri, felt like thinly weiled versions of the author. The writing was extremely descriptive when there was no need, but that may have been due to the fact that nothing was happening in the middle portion. And this comes from someone who loves books where nothing happens!!!! Overall, I didn't enjoy this book.
