I knew what I was getting into, but the plot was incredibly lacking. there's no world building to create any real stakes or give you a clear understanding of why certain powers or reveals matter. the chemistry was not there for me between the MC and FMC, and i found her to be raher boring. the author also used some words and expressions like "vibe" that really took me out of the scenes.
