i really enjoy lisa jewell's other books, however this one read as more of a slow and problematic mess.

the first 70% doesn't exactly convey anything and the last 30% was disappointing to say the least. a majority of the character interactions felt extremely surface-level, but i continued reading bc lisa jewell's plots always have potential. though not for me, it was still intriguing! ]]>
