How do i put this gently? I hate this book so damn much i no longer identify as a reader.

Simply, everything pissed me off.

Ella is quite possibly the dumbest main character ever. She couldn’t stfu to save her life. Sawyer was weird and annoying. And the two of them together�? No thank you. There was no chemistry and they were trying so hard to have this “forbidden romance� thing but it was just so icky.

Also, the dialogue was cringe. And they were constantly saying the other person’s name while speaking which i HATE when books do that. I KNOW WHO YOU’RE TALKING TO I SWEAR THERE’S NO ONE ELSE IN THE ROOM.

What i hated most of all, was how all the male characters were acting the same exact horrible way just so we can be thrown off the scent of the actual abuser. Which wasn’t that hard to guess btw. Like � you still made Sawyer act horrible so i don’t care if he’s not “the worst�. Blegh i hate all the main characters. And the parents. And the side characters. And the plot.

The setting of Hong Kong was cool and the plot was fast paced and exciting. I liked meeting the new characters and the ending was pretty good.
