Okay I actually never read Mockingjay way back when, so after FINALLY reading it, I gotta say I’m a bit underwhelmed 😭 some of the characters we came to grow and love just had such quick deaths and I wish we found out a little more about what happened to the other survivors like Johanna and how Annie handled things. Don’t get me wrong, I still gobbled this up like crazy (especially the metaphors at the end about Peeta being exactly what Katniss needed??? Omfg BEAUTIFULL) but there were some parts that just seemed a little muddled to me (ie: their infiltration of the Capitol) and parts I wish were expanded on a bit. Overall, a great ending though to an amazing series of books. Can’t wait to read the prequels now!!
