This book is a life-changing experience. It is as if Allah has given Muhammad Asad the clearest of views on the state of the Muslim spirit, in what it aspired to be, and in what it declined to through complacency. One of my favourite reads, and one that certainly caused me to tear up at the state of our broken homeland.
