okay wow i have some thoughts about this book

the first time i read this i was 15 and thoroughly bored... like nothing about this book captivated me and it felt like a waste of time but i feel that i was very wrong

i love love love the plot of this book so much and marianne is one of my favorite characters ever. sally rooney's writing is so beautiful and some of my all time favorite quotes are from this book (even if the no quotation marks did annoy me a little bit...)

losing my intellectual facade for a second but the way they are not friends or lovers but a secret third thing throughout most of the book is so RAHHH to me i feel kind of insane... it must feel so good to be known that well by somebody (boygenius reference)
