If in my previous review I said this series wasn’t dark I confess I’m reconsidering. If we compare with certain dark books full of terrible situations, than it’s not, but it certainly is not a easy reading.

In this second book we have more of a glimpse of what happens in Edward’s head, but even then I spent most of the book having bad feelings about him. My feelings regarding Celia are more complex. I can hate, cheer and feel sorry for her in the same chapter. I wanted to see her standing up for herself, but her weak attempts were never effective.

This is the book where Celia has to face the demons from the past. There are quite emotional parts and some difficult to read. I didn’t approve of Edward’s methods, but they helped.

Loved everything, the characters, their story and how it developed, the new perspective of this relationship between vampire and their valentines, the writing itself, it kept me entertained throughout the book. I specially liked Amelia, and when I like the FMC the most in a book it’s definitely worth 5 stars. Insanely spicy, fun and sweet!
I’ve read my share pf Layla’s monster romances and I am a big fan. Now I know she writes about “normal� people just as well. Both Emma and Logan were lovely characters, even (maybe mostly) when he was being all jealous and protective. And the hot stuff in the end? What a great ending to this series. It is undoubtedly my favorite of the trilogy and I’m glad it ended so well! I had like Tucker since the first book. How could one do not like such an endearing character?

I’m glad Tessa found a match so perfect for him in Mary.They were both beautiful souls who completed each other. It was beautiful to see their love grow and the sacrifices they did for each other. I also loved Carl!! My favorite secondary character in this whole series.

I was also glad Tessa brought in this book “not perfect� main characters since Tucker was not fit and Mary was blind. Their love and care for each other helping them to overcome their insecurities.

What was it with Tessa and mother characters in this series? They all were selfish women. Inessa was worse, but selling your young and innocent daughter to an evil creature was not great feat either�
