For the most part I really enjoyed this, the setting and the research was exquisite. I think World's Fairs are such fascinating ways for people to meet and make really fun and immersive settings. My quibble is that I don't quite know how to reckon with the capitalism of it all. It's very girlbossy and there's a bit of a have-your-cake-and-eat-it-too-ness about it where it's like, yes now we share profits and have worker collectives but we got the capital to build that in the usual bad way so we are still much richer than the workers. I don't quite know how to reckon with it. ]]>
