This reminded me of my older forays into SF. It's a book that simply dumps you into a world. Murderbot doesn't stop to explain the world to you as you follow it through its adventures. It assumes you are smart enough to keep up.

So there will be a bit of technical jargon and in my opinion, you needn't stop to worry about it. Just keep reading.

This was my first foray in Murderbot, but not my first delightful experience of a Martha Wells book.
