"I loved it. Even if it was painful af.

The character development is amazing and I can't wait to know what's going to happen in the next book.

Rose has grown so much and I'm eager to see this new aspect of her ♥️"

The Priest, the Boy and the Slug by Sirius Imnot
"FYI: Files with new Cover updated below. Also today 24/12 and tomorrow 25/12 Ho Ho Ho! Merry Christmas To Y'All!

There was once an innocent naughty boy, whose evil uncle-priest made him do all the temple’s chores. The boy was miserable, and all alone in the world. Until, one day, he found his best friend and hope in a slug!

Well this was fun, in a way. I’m giving myself a solid 3 stars for the story, rounded up to 4 for that special scene and that 3-word line that I LOVE and made it all SO worth it. I’m not going to spoil it, anyone who reads it will probably guess what I’m talking about.

This is so weird reviewing myself. Anyway, it’s a very quick and direct shortie; dark, humorous, heartwarming, heartbreaking, and very very poignant, I think. 16 pages short and packing a punch. Oh and apparently, or so they tell me, it’s also plagued with symbolism, allegories, metaphors and god knows what, and don't look at me I don’t have the faintest idea how any of that stuff got in there because I don’t even know what that means. I just wanted to write a story about a boy and his slug and somehow I may have accidentally landed something deep. Go figure.

Anyway. It’s free! So the link is right there below, if you wish to risk it. It’s also available for free on Kindle Unlimited and will be on Wattpadd as soon as I’m finished uploading it. But please, I don’t want your money, least of all from my GR friends. I’m not looking to make a living out of writing, and if it’s 0.99 listed on Amazon it’s only because it didn’t allow me to put 0.

Also, not proud to admit but, I didn’t always get my books the right way; so this is kind of my way of giving something back to the world and atone for it. If you feel indebted or whatever you can spread the word and if ever decide to get off my lazy ass to finish something else again I may capitalize on that. It’s not like a have e shortage of ideas, I have like 30-40 drafts in various degrees of unfinishedness, just sitting there gathering digital dust. Me loves procrastinating.

So. Enjoy! Or not.

It’s free to share. You can find it (.epub) and

AVISO: Archivos con nueva Portada actualizados abajo. También hoy 24/12 y mañana 25/12 ¡Ho, ho, ho! ¡Feliz Navidad Para Todos!

Andá a enteder.

Me encanta procrastinar.

Bueno. Me encanta procrastinar.

Wild Eyes by Elsie Silver
&ܴdz;☆☆☆☆

“Then you don’t have to leave. Literally, whatever you want. It’s yours. Me. This place. The future. Just tell me what you want, and I will do everything in my power to give it to you. I sigh as his words sink in. The future. I very much want that with him.

This book was so cute, love single dad romance and the kids in this one were precious! The meet cute was hilarious, made me immediately love West hehe

there were quite a few moments that had me cringing tbh but overall it was a cute read

I’m super excited for the next book and loooove that this series is full of single dads!!!"

A Fate Inked in Blood by Danielle L. Jensen
"This was a pleasant surprise. 👽 I tend to have a low opinion of Romantasy—it’s not that I mind sex in fantasy, but I cringe when world-building & character are ignored in favor of that sex (now called ‘spice? BookTok can go pound sand 🙄), all of which defeats the purpose of the genre. Sorry, but I cut my teeth on Tolkien—these standards are hardwired into my expectations. Simply inserting swords or magic & plunking everything in a vague medieval cloud isn’t enough. If you don’t want to build a legitimate world, write contemporary. It’s that simple.

…Moving on. 😶

This is a fun Viking-based story that hooked me quickly with clean, effective narration & well-paced plot.** The characters are intriguing & their relationships are complicated; their world isn’t specifically referred to as a traditional Viking-verse, but clearly this is what the author built upon for conflicts, places, & rituals, so I’d call it pseudo-historical fantasy rather than high fantasy…but that’s just my personal system. If you like the tv show Vikings or action classics like The 13th Warrior, you should feel comfortable here. (I did. 😇)

So far as the MCs are concerned, there were a few cheesy scenes where Mary Sue Freya waxed poetic on Bjorn’s hotness, & Bjorn himself could be overly Mr Perfect, but that didn’t ruin my fun; I had no trouble seeing this through a lens of Viking Sagas with extraordinarily capable & larger-than-life beauteous heroics. They had good sexual tension, though if you’re looking for hardcore erotica you won’t find it—there was only one major sex scene, & it came late in the book. (Methinks I heard Bjorn fangirls wailing in frustration as I read. 😈)

One final note: the section where Freya & Bjorn battle through the mountain was top tier—if I could give 5 stars to that bit alone, I would. As a rule this book has very good action sequences (intense, no-easy-fixes, suitably bloody, & easy to picture), but the mountain was especially excellent because it reminded me of the Mines of Moria mixed with the Paths of the Dead—rare praise indeed from this Tolkien fangirl. 😗 I also appreciated that the author tried to give some depth to the antagonists despite their varying levels of bitterness and/or fanaticism—that sort of effort is missing from too many popcorn genre novels.

Anyway. 4 stars for execution (& also some predictability) but 4.5 stars for sheer enjoyment, which averages to solid 4 & a spot on my keeper shelf. Nicely done, & I’ll definitely be picking up the conclusion next summer.

**Dear Ms Jensen: Thank you for using classic first-person-past & only one narrator. No, seriously—THANK YOU! The modern trend of first-person-present + dual pov is so incredibly annoying."
