UGH im so distraught😫 i wanted to love this book as much an angelic vengeance (5 star read btw) but idk i just couldn’t!! im so much more into slow burn and more tension, and more ENEMY in the enemies to lovers 😔 I wanted a bigger reason for Nat and Trevor to hate each other, the information just flew over my head. and the drop about her mother was just thrown out and had no significance i feel. it should’ve been a built up situation not something her father said the minute she said smth was up 😭 the plot was SUPER fast, which i don’t love in books. everything else about the book I LOVED!!!! 🥰 the maria and zach excerpts FEDDDDD my obsession. maria is literally just my favorite fmc and her inclusion was amazing; zach and her just work together. something about trevor was off for me…🧐�� idk i just didn’t ADORE HIM. nat was super cute, don’t love that there are so many fmc obsessed w pink, but she was so diva. i absolutely adore the author and her writing style is so intriguing to me. NO HATE TO HER AT ALL! this just wasn’t my fav trope of book!! overall i enjoyed it, just wasn’t my favorite read. angelic vengeance still remains my fav ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ read :))

4⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ omg guys. 🥹🥹🩷💖 this book was SO CUTE I LOVED IT SO MUCH. something about these small town romances really just do it for me. i also don’t know why i get so excited when characters from other stories appear out of thin air�� but it felt so well in here. i wanted to see a rowan kane cameo so bad, so that was a little letdown 😔 aside from that i really liked this book! i haven’t read a lauren asher book since 2022 and this brought back so many memories🙃🙃 when two people who CANNOT COMMUNICATE for the life of them FINALLY communicate is my new fav genre. the whole beginning of the book i was screaming for them to talk and the end was SO worth it. julian was such a sassy mmc it was so entertaining; i loved dahlia’s character too🤞 she was bossy and matched us freak perfectly🤌 ive decided im learning spanish after reading this. anyways really good book! i recommend to anyone looking for a cutesy small town romance book with childhood rivals!

2.5⭐️⭐️⭐️ Okay I’ll start with the good parts!! I LOVE RAI🩷🩷😊😊 In my top 2 rina girls (below Sasha obviously) but i love her character sm. The Kirill and Sasha scenes seriously made up for this book bc now im going to go reread heart of my monster. Genuinely, I was kinda taken aback from this book. RAI AND KYLE ARE SO FREAKY HOLY CRAP. 😭😭😭Like I’m used to Rina’s type of writing but why was it every second bruh. I liked monster trilogy bc it was different from all her other books and this one wasn’t bad it just kinda felt rushed and incomplete. Idk this book didn’t resonate as well w me. Anyways stan kirillsasha!

yayyy officially out of the reading slump🥳🥳 idk but the rina kent mafia books will ALWAYS do it for me. although this one wasn’t my favorite�� it definitely started off a little fast for me and usually i feel like there’s a more hint at the characters past; which there wasn’t much here. 😩 i like in books when the author has flashbacks to clear the air so i was not entirely loving the way the story flowed in this book. but it was a good read! I LOVE RAI🥹🥹🩷 ive loved her since i read monster trilogy (shoutout rina for adding kirill scenes to further fuel my obsession). the cliffhanger made me scream but it wouldn’t be a rina kent series without a cliffhanger. super excited for the second book😁😁 rai is in my top rina girls now
