I loved this book, another moving story from Samantha Tonge, who writes with such warmth and then packs in punches of humour (Captain Beaky!) that make me laugh out loud out of nowhere. Brilliant. The Memory Of You is about kindness, forgiveness, empathy and love. Alex's journey from self-obsessed and materialistic woman who only has to think about herself, to understanding a new and difficult world of dementia and its uncomfortable truths was really moving and I enjoyed learning alongside her and meeting the colourful cast of characters at The Wrong Order Cafe.
