"I loved the world building. However, Alina is not my favorite. She has very little self-confidence and very little will to improve herself. She also did not see through any of what the Darkling was doing? I like Mal, but he and Alina spent very little page time talking to each other. Overall, a good read, but a little underwelmed."

"4.5 rounding up to 5 stars. The Poirot mysteries are some of my favorites of Agatha Christie. Poirot is such a delight and Hastings is an absolute himbo. The ending was close to being needlessly complex but it was executed well and that's also what I love about these books. Dame Christie knew how to write!"

Definitely an interesting read! I love historical fictions and adding in a murder plot/espionage is a sure way to a good book in my opinion :)
