Three star writing, five star content.

Bob Goff lives an incredible life. He doesn’t give himself nearly enough credit, and he acts like most of his accomplishments and perspectives happened by accident �� I think that’s a little harmful, but maybe it’s exactly right. If want to follow his example, we’ll have to give ourselves up completely to love and to our big ideas. I desperately want to do that.

In truth, I didn’t completely read this book. Having to read a few chapters a week over a few weeks made it hard to stay engaged �� HOWEVER, I will definitely be revisiting this in due time.

Wright essentially defines the fullness of the Gospel for those of us who feel we have received some dilution of the actual Jesus. This book examines historical and textual contexts surrounding Christ and boy! was there a lot more to Jesus�� life and mission than I understood. I’d never felt like I actually had a grasp of the life and good news that I claim until reading this book. Very excited to reread this and devour the rest of Wright’s catalog.
