The Knight and the Moth by Rachel Gillig
&ܴdz;5⭐️ | |

Oh. My. Gawd. Perfect. No notes.

I loved The Shepard King Duology and The Knight and the Moth is just as phenomenal! Rachel Gillig is an exceptional writer!

Some of my favorite things about this book
- The gargoyle is so perfect
- surprisingly funny
- A+++ banter and tension
- wildly romantic
- Strong, sturdy, tall, and powerful FMC (who is also bisexual, although it’s only mentioned briefly!)
- broody MMC
- atmospheric setting
- unique magic system
- detailed world
- flawless pacing
- edge of your seat action
- POWERFUL ENDING!

I could honestly go on, and on, and on, this book was absolutely spectacular and one you will NOT want to miss.

A note for the cover haters, look - I didn’t love it at first either, but AFTER reading the book? THIS COVER IS F-ING EVERYTHING! When you start reading you’ll understand - it perfectly encapsulates the story!

Thank you Orbit for the ARC. All opinions are my own."

if you had told me i’d be rating a rom com 5 ⭐️s this year, i’d tell you you’re lying and yet here we are 🥹 3.5🌶 this was fucking ADORABLE. i loved everything about it. grumpy/sunshine will always be one of my fav tropes (i needed this after reading one of my least favorite tropes lmao). i ate this tf up and left no crumbs. CADE EATON.. the man that you are, i am sat. kicking my feet and giggling the entire time, like laughing out loud at points. out of the two in this series i’ve read so far this one is my fav and i surprisingly can’t wait to continue the series. 🩵 this was proof that it’s worth stepping out of your comfort genres and trying something new 🤠 ]]>

3.5⭐️ 5🌶 this book was not at all what i was expecting and yet exactly what i was expecting. it was definitely drawn out, i felt like things were happening and yet i wasn’t getting any further into it. i was hoping to love this a bit more than i did, if im being honest though the only reason this isn’t a 5⭐️ is because of how MAD the fmc made me through out the entire thing. she was actually insufferable, like i’ve never been so annoyed by a fmc in a book. the mmc’s were amazing, they held this book together. this also being in third POV definitely helped with my not dnfing it. it was like a car crash, as much as you don’t wanna look/shouldn’t be looking, i could not help but stare. i wanted to dnf so many times but i also could not stop reading. this also reminded me of why i HATE love triangles, like please i need you to pick one or both and make them share. i cannnnnnot deal with the back and forth shit. lmaooo all that being said, it was still a pretty good book, and i probably will read the second one 😅 also, THAT BONUS CHAPTER 😮‍ that was what i wanted the ENTIRE book to be 🥲 ]]>
