ABSOLUTELY FCKING YES!!!! Everything about this book was amazing. I will say the start was a little slow but i honestly think it was just me. I haven’t read very many fantasies and I always get worried about what I’m walking into when starting one. But that quickly changed once I got further into it!!

The book was honestly super easy to read imo, I didn’t find myself getting confused or lost at what was going on as someone who gets confused and lost A LOT when it comes to fantasies.

Kingfisher and Saeris are absolutely perfect, I can’t wait to learn more about them and see them grow as a couple. I loved the characters so much (Danya was a handful tho), I LOVED Carrion, Renfis and Lorreth. We didn’t get to see much of Everlayne but I’m excited to read more about her.

"I'm really sad, I wanted to like this book so so bad. It took me months to realize I was never going to finish it. The real events that it is based on is so horrific and definitely gives me Handmaid's Tale vibes, so I was so excited to read it. I will probably revisit this book in the future when my TBR isn't quite as long. But for now, an unfortunate DNF."
