This book was so cozy and sweet lol. It became a nightly ritual to finish work, have a glass of wine, and read a few chapters until I zoinked, and it was honestly the most fun I've had in a while.

As the author said at the beginning of the book - don't take it too too seriously (my fav kind of book). If you can handle a little bit of the "person from the USA in Europe" vibes and some mild sângerete bashing, you'll have tons of fun with this one. For me, it honestly was nice seeing the two characters view each other thru their own lenses. At the beginning, they each have a pretty reductive view of each other/their ways/where they come from (naturally, as they've only just met), and by the end, they mix together in the most fun and endearing way. I'm not gonna say this was an outstanding representation of culture and history. I am gonna say it was a fun book about monsters. (Which I think was the point).

Coming from a girl who leaves Hotel Transylvania on repeat while I work from home (if any therapists out there wanna help me untangle that one, by the way...) it was honestly just a story I wanted to keep hanging out in, and for me that makes a 5 star read.

It also had me snorting at some points lol. My fav quote was:
"The whole entering a house thing--do you really need permission?"
"Since the creation of the welcome mat, not so much actually."

I'm sorry - that is comedic GOLD. Someone put that on a t-shirt please.

I cannot believe I am only just writing this review (I'm so behind!!). This book had everything. I found it a perfect blend of romance and fantasy that had me hooked and eager to keep going. I really loved the characters as well as their dynamic and I seriously cannot wait for the next book.

This book was HILARIOUS! I was laughing out loud multiple times. I am giving it a 4.5, and I'm not usually so nit picky, but I will say this just in case someone else needs to hear it if they are thinking about reading this book.

The ONLY reason I am giving this a 4.5 instead of a 5 is because the MMC's protectiveness was very possessive, and he quite literally did and said things that my own @bus!v3 ex did and said. This is a very personal assessment and may not apply to all readers, however if you have a history with dating possessive people in real life, you may find some of these scenes a bit unnerving. I found a few moments to be quite uncomfortable, truthfully. It was just a touch too intense for me.

Apart from this, I loved it. It was a fun, sweet ride that had me giggling. I liked that it was dialogue heavy because it felt like watching a funny sitcom in my head. It had all the vibes! Just so so so so cute and I HIGHLY recommend!!!
