"a very nice, easy to read, enjoyable book. interesting people and the 2 main characters were just likeable and interesting, the rest of the side characters were all appealing and i am hoping in the next books we get to see them and their stories. the magic and the world worked for me and was super captivating, a nice magical system and little amusing things. and while i wished that i get more chapters in this book and some more of the story, it didn't end in a cliff hanger and you can easily read it and have a whole story while yearning for more.
looking forward to the next book and hoping it comes out soon, though the trouble with really good first books with complex stories and people is that it makes it really difficult to follow up"

"Slow burn cozy fantasy, with magic school and eventually a magical forest. Nothing challenging, in fact the opposite of it, very easy, and that is its flaw, if any. It is oh so s l o w but it worked for my particular mood, and there were some cool details all round, the magic system. Ending is very slow burn but also clearly hinting at some development (right, come on, I bet that feather is oh so intact..) and I will probably check the sequel. One needs to be in the right mood for cozy and unchallenging though."
