L'hype con il quale ho letto il romanzo ha del surreale... ma purtroppo si è ridotto tutto in un nulla di fatto. La protagonista una vera rompicoglioni, anzi... ROMPICOGLIONI con tutte le lettere maiuscole.
L'enemies to lovers dove il legame arriva all'improvviso senza un perché?
E l'ultimo 10% dove la trama finalmente raggiunge un senso divino? Di grazia, perchè non ha potuto raggiungerlo prima? Un po' la brutta copia di ACOTAR, se devo dirla tutta.

romanzo carino, non impegnativo, con delle note mistery che aggiungono qualcosa di diverso rispetto al solito romance. Roan, il protagonista maschile, è il solito uomo che preferisce vivere da solo, ma la presenza della bambina, Cady, smussa tutti i suoi angoli da bad boy.
Il trope singole parent è uno dei miei preferiti e qui è stato trattato perfettamente.

In alcuni punti è troppo smielato (i soprannomi fanno un po' schifo), tuttavia è un romanzo accattivante, che ti spinge a voler andare avanti con la lettura.

"The perfect version of a slowburn. I think a lot of the storyline is followed through the details and I love detailed writing. The structure of the chapters is amazing especially given their “project� and the included excerpts. Usually with slow burns the rise and fall is quite predictable in this case I was still pretty caught off guard. I expected something just not what actually happened. I expected a bit more from the epilogue but overall a lovely read. Katie Holt, I saw your vision for this book and loved your writing style "
