Where the Piopios Sing by Hornbill Harcel
"Where the Piopios Sing is a collection of poetries and excerpts that sing the song of loss and grief. The book is divided into nine parts and each part moves the readers a step closer to destruction. The book is personified as a person experiencing lost love, lost friendships, lost childhood, lost home, lost justice, lost wars, lost freedom, lost innocence, lost aspirations, lost identity, etc.

The book opens with the Discessum which depicts the revelation of hidden truths, wavering the old beliefs of the reader and turning their world upside down. The ultimate result of this leads the reader to experience the loss of extinct structures and forgotten methodologies. While trying to understand the new roundabout world, the readers fall into servitude of the unknown, metamorphosing their pathways of life.

The destiny that was meant to shine now awaits the sunrise. The vacillation that erupts from autonomy forces the readers to follow the road to crime and punishment. The depiction of the heart becomes the desires of the self when the book finally throws the reader into accepting the fruits and sins of their life.

The book ceases its dance of death once the readers discover their sense of safety amidst the backdrop of an apocalyptic scenery. The poetic verses of the book immerse the readers into feeling a sense of dread and provocation while slowly falling into the well of despair. The rhythm and narrative device of the book display the ability of a siren, thereby trapping the readers in the words of poetry.

The book also contains excerpts from unread journals and undelivered letters belonging to people of different backgrounds and histories and paints them in the colors of bittersweet blue."
