OH MY GOD PLEASE ONCE UPON A BROKEN HEART, its my fav series and it took over my LIFE for weeks even though i finished the trilogy in 3 days. book 2 is my FAV book ever and i read both the second and third books in one sitting 🙂‍↕️�� i will never stop recommending this series (just make sure youve read the caraval trilogy first as theyre set in the same world and you meet the mmc of ouabh in that trilogy)

i fear i need 24/7 action in a book because honestly i was bored for the majority of this book.
but there were still some AMAZING parts that i loved so much!
i absolutely devoured the short stories littered throughout the series but especially the ones in this book. i think that even though they may seem insignificant, they help show how the public speaks out in their own ways, and how they make impacts even though they are never named.
i also loved celaena’s character development!! she was annoying me a bit at the beginning of this book, with her reluctance to do what she should do, but by the end of this book she is so much stronger. the chapter where it all clicked for her was so satisfying and one of my fav chapters of this book.
finally, THE ENDING??? ive already picked up the first few chapters of queen of shadows because that ending, whilst not a cliffhanger or anything, IS STILL DIABOLICAL. dorian�� oh my god. JUST EVERYTHING that went down in that room HAUNTS me.
but at the end of the day this was kinda hard to get through spare for a few chapters and the end.

i have no words because this book put me THROUGH IT ALL.
the betrayal, bloodshed, vengeance???? 😮‍��
although i found book 2 slightly boring at certain times (mainly near the start), it also felt like not much happened yet everything happened in this book. like at the same time.
i also feel stupid for not understanding the riddles quicker 😭 it felt obvious when the answer was revealed!!
that ending too�� oh my god.
this series is already so so good 😵‍��

I LOVE CELAENA.
shes one of, if not the most, relatable fmcs ive come across in a while.
i feel like we’d be sisters in a different life because we think the same 🙂‍↕��

plot wise, this was really good too! i looooove when romantasys are set in royal settings, with dukes and whatever, its always so intriguing to me!!
and dorian made me squealllll 😵‍💫��

i can see why this series is so popular, it felt a little boring at the beginning but from 50% onwards i was hooked!! and i heard the series just gets better and better so im so excited to see where it goes from here 💞

honestly, i thought this book would be in the 3 star range during the first two novellas. but those last three??? oh bitch i was ADDICTED.
i dont think ill ever forgive any of you for what happened near the end�� cause i was NOT expecting that level of heartbreak from a PREQUEL.

this book gave me trust issues. i thought i could trust certain characters but oh boy definitely not.

im not even sure how i havent gotten spoiled for anything that happens in this series, so im terrified that not only this series will make me sob my heart out but also be one of my top favourites.
