"I really enjoyed this story. The imagery was beautiful and contained lots of mythological and cultural themes I wish were present in more books.

I was instantly pulled into the story in the first few pages. The main character has a fun personality and all the characters are complex.

If you are hoping for a story where every mystery gets wrapped up in a nice bow, this may not be for you. For all the contemporary fantasy elements in the book, there is a level of reality underpinning the story. Not every question gets answered. Characters and readers don’t always get what the want, or when they do, it might not be in the way they expected. I found it interesting and thought-provoking."
