Another addition to the SW family from the outlaw side of characters and adventures. This time from the "New Order Era". Nice. The art is pretty much generic SW/Marvel standard, with no distinctive style, so that's fine. The story is interesting too, but it has one major problem - it links with flashbacks to different times and different characters (Han, Aphra...) so there is very little introduction to not known characters, and then it starts jumping back and forth. I see how introducing well-known characters can be lucrative for this comic. But it makes the main story/characters chaotic and confusing almost until the finale. So the result is yet another mediocre, but more interesting than some, Marvel SW story."

Another Gou Tanabe's adaptation. I must say that these manga adaptations are great in transferring that heavy, depressing existential atmosphere of Lovecraft's "cosmic horror". But it's as well hard to digest as the prose version. On a few occasions, we need to read long inner monologues or transcriptions of past events to see them later from first-hand. So we first get a very "dry and long" "recording" version of something we later see in place, first hand, more dramatic. But I respect that Gou wanted to follow the original prose composition as closely as possible. But same as for the original, for the random reader it could be a bit hard to get in and digest the slow tempo. But as far as comic adaptations go, Gou follows the original for better and worse. Which is more than most of the others achieved so far. "

Every time I get my hands on a new volume, I tear through it. The story is incredibly gripping � you just have to know what happens next.

If you’re into horror thrillers and not reading this, you’re seriously missing out.

And it's not just the story � the artwork is phenomenal too.

All I want is for the next volumes to drop yesterday.
