Read the Sarah Ruden’s version maybe? I love it to bits. The E.J. Kenney’s version is such a drag to get into. hilarious. this book focuses on greg and his school being a terrible terrible school. literally why would anyone even go there lmao. they got a new principal and he made “improvements� on the school to boost the test scores but they all backfired and got the school closed instead.

i think i appreciate this book better after i've finished watching the series.

i first read this at the end of 2019 and i listened to the audiobook in the beginning of 2022.

i love how this book truly encapsulates the feeling of being left out and misunderstood.

i think miscommunication is the most prevalent theme and topic in this book. it depicts how even the slightest miscommunication can destroy and even put a halt in really great relationships.
