Not a literary work of art but it doesn't have to be! The book has good pacing, its hard to put down, there is so much angst and a fair amount of world-building. It delivers on the will-they-won't-they/love triangle in great ways. I think we'll see a lot of great development in the last book. I loved it for the moments between the love interest I'm rooting for. One of the best books I've read in a long time.

I've been in a book slump lately and wanted to venture out from the typical romance books I read quickly which offered little depth or prose.

This book was captivating. The author found a way to make a book quiet, beautiful, suspenseful.. it filled you with both a sense of dread and foreboding but also warmth, love and tenderness.

Perfectly paced, beautifully written... I can't wait to read more of her works. I can't believe this doesn't have a higher rating. ]]>
