I don't know much about science if i'm being honest but after completing a story by Weir, i feel like a kid at a science lecture who just learned a myriad of fascinating tidbits about space. much like your favorite science teacher, Weir makes science fun yet terrifying in equal measures.

The sequel had more entertainment and emotional appeal for me than its predecessor because of the unique main characters, Rocky and Grace. the way they formed an emotional bond and formidable alliance was heartwarming as well as poignant.

This is a fierce and harrowing story of fighting against immeasurable odds, foregoing your own self-preservation for the sake of your species...and maybe a friend's species as well."
