Ive been rereading this book and finally realised why i didn't like it so much before,and why eli was so insufferable.
Its because the characters are so textbooky.its like kent typed in tags on chatgpt and told it to create a character.
Possessive hero, billionaire ceo,cold, sarcastic,hates everyone but her.and hit send.
The dialogues are so inorganic and so scripted? Like you know hes going to say this particular thing because thats what his character demands.he has no expression at all except a possessive smirk/possessive rage/possessive growl.all the heavy lifting is done by ava since kent likes to torture her heroines,she just gets miserable and miserable.one goes into a kent book knowing what to expect but to still be disappointed is a feat.
