The concept is simple enough: a world that works like an RPG. Heroes work for the Heroes Guild, gain XPs when they slay monsters and go up in rank. You have to protect the mages, and Plusfive is a weapons manufacturing company.

That should be enough for a quick good laughs, but author Zachary Pike does so much more with this. With excellent characterization, flawless pacing and a storyline that has unexpected depth to it, Orconomics is more than an easy satyre.
