Unbreak Me by Reese Rivers
"After years trapped in an abusive marriage, Avery knows she has to run now. He hurt their daughter. He will kill her if he catches her but her baby is worth the risk. She has to take a chance to keep her baby safe. One tank of gas later, Avery and her daughter, Chloe are living in their car and trying to figure out the next step. Then fate steps in and when Avery lends a helping hand and refuses money for the service, instead telling the man to "pay it forward", she has no idea he will, and she and Chloe will reap the benefits. He hires her as a live-in housekeeper with excellent pay and safety. Easton, Zack, Ryker, and their dog Kanga all bear the scars of their military service. They have an unbreakable bond and a need to protect the vulnerable. Avery and Chloe bring warmth and joy to their home and immediately find a way into their hearts.

I absolutely love a damaged heroine trope. I love the Alpha males circling and protecting her and in this case her young daughter too. I loved the heroine finding her inner strength. This book had it all, so naturally, I loved it. Kudos to the addition of Chloe. Many times children are added as a side note. Chloe was a full-bodied character and an asset to the story. She was adorable and the way the men responded ot her, not only her mother made them even more attractive. My only complaint was the rushed ending. The whole husband storyline was way too rushed and we never saw Avery take a step toward 'wholeness'. Chloe went to school, made friends, and got involved. What did Chloe want? Why did she never get a phone or laptop? She had a computer genius in the house. Did she want to get a degree or was she happy running the house? Did she have any dreams, other than her newfound discovery of sex? I needed more at the end.
"
