If I remember correctly, my last review of the earlier book in this series ended with a question towards myself, do I need to read anymore of this series?

Damn, this book answers that question too well, in fact it knocked the query out of the proverbial park!

Joe Ledger and his team of warriors are at their absolute best here, battling to keep a nation (read: USA) hellbent on extreme responses steady, racing against paranormal and high-science threats at the same time. Damn, this was a ride, a ride that made me read this book at a stretch, over unslept nights.

Maberry, in his signature fashion, has sprinkled in characters from his other books here. I'm sure that the readers of his Pine Deep trilogy would love seeing their protagonists return and fight alongside Joe.. As I didn't read those books, it carried little weight for me.

Great book. I'm only giving this a 4 because the ending felt abrupt, I'd have loved a bit more meaningful ending of the big bad undead wolf. It just felt like the writer is keeping things to himself for the next book.

I've never read a Supergirl comic before, didn't really have interest for it. The name Tom King (I've thoroughly enjoyed his Batman run) and the news that the upcoming movie will be based on this finally intrigued me - and good that it did.

This was amazing. Not an usual over-powered fantasy like the Supes comics are, a simple character driven tale of revenge and how people grow in a journey across the cosmos.

"একটা পারফেক্ট ওয়ানড� ইনিং� কেমন হয�? শুরুতে ব্যাটসম্যা� একটু দেখেশুনে বল খেলে, দু'চারট� মিসটাইমি� হয�, দু'একটা বাউন্ডারিও হয়। ২০-২২ রা� করতে করতে ব্যাটসম্যা� মোটামুটি সেটল� হয়ে যায়, এরপর বল� বল� সিঙ্গেলস, ডাবল�, আর বাজে বল পেলে� সীমানা� বাইরে। আর শে� ১০ ওভার� (এককালে এক� স্লগ ওভার বল� হত�, এখ� তো সারাক্ষণ� পেটাপিটি চল�!) যদ� ব্যাটসম্যা� টিকে থাকে, তখ� ভা� বলেও মারা শুরু হয়। ইনিংসে� মাঝখানটা শেষদিকের শক্ত ভিত্তি হিসেবে কা� কর� সেক্ষেত্রে� ফলাফ�, একটা অনিন্দ্যসুন্দর সেঞ্চুরি, বা আর� বেশি রান। � ব্যাপারে লারা-শচী�-সাঈদ আনোয়ারে� ইনিংসগুলোকেই আম� আদর্� মানব�, যেরক� ইনিং� গত বছ� দশেক� বানানো পাটা পিচগুলোত� আর দেখিনি�

কৌশি� মজুমদারে� 'সূর্যতামসী' সিরিজে� প্রথ� দু'টো বই পড়ে আমার সেরক� আদর্� ওয়ানড� ইনিংসে� কথাই মন� পড়ছে। প্রথ� বইটাতে ইতিহাসের লেকচার একটু বেশি ছি�, কাহিনী কয়ে� জায়গায় খাপছাড়া হয়ে গেছে, চরিত্রগুলো ১০� ভা� ফুটে ওঠেন�, অনেকটা প্রথমদিকের মিসটাইমিংয়ে� মতই। আর ২য� বই 'নীবারসপ্তক' হয়েছে একেবার� বল� বল� সিঙ্গেলস-ডাবল� আর কয়েকট� বাউন্ডার� মেরে শক্ত ভিত্তি� উপ� ইনিং� দাঁড� করানোর মত� প্রথ� পর্বের কয়েকট� খাপছাড়া বিষয়ে� চমৎকার ব্যাখ্যা এসেছ�, পরের অংশে� ভিতটাও খু� মজবু� কর� গড়া হয়েছে, কিন্তু সেটা করতে গিয়� গল্প কখনো� একঘেয়� হয়ে যায়নি বা গত� হারায়নি� টানটান ভাবট� ছি� পুরো বইটা জুড়েই� শেষটাও মিলেছে দারু�, আর সেটা পড়ে পরের পর্বের জন্য অপেক্ষ� আর ফুরোতে� চাইব� না� দুঃখের বিষয� যে, দেশে� বাইর� চল� যাওয়া� কারণ� পরের পর্বটা বে� হওয়ার পরেও সম্ভবত হাতে পাবো না, অপেক্ষ� কর‌ত� হব� বছ� দু'য়েক�

যদ� শে� পর্বটা কো� কারণ� বাংলাদেশের ক্রিকে� দলের স্লগ ওভারের মত লেখক গুলিয়� না ফেলে�, তাহল� দারোগা প্রিয়না�-গোয়েন্দ� তারিণীচর� আর ব্রিটি� গোয়েন্দ� সাইগারসন (এঁ� পরিচয়টা দিলে স্পয়লার হয়ে যাবে)-কে নিয়� লেখা এই ট্রিলজিট� বাংল� রহস্� কাহিনী� ইতিহাস� অন্যতম সেরা সংযোজন হত� যাচ্ছে, সেটা লিখে দিলাম। লেখককে আগাম অভিনন্দন জানিয়� রাখছ�, দয়া কর� এই অধ� পাঠককে হতাশ করবে� না�"
